Huang Xiaoming to Star in “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” Sequel?
Mainland Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming (黃曉明) is currently in talks to join Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2: The Green Destiny <臥虎藏龍Ⅱ青冥寶劍>, which will begin filming next year. Already confirmed cast members include Michelle Yeoh (楊紫瓊), who will reprise her role from the first movie, and Donnie Yen (甄子丹) as her childhood friend.
According to insiders, the sequel will follow the story of Yu Xiulian (Michelle Yeoh), who teams up with childhood friend Meng Sizhao (Donnie Yen) in order to protect the Green Destiny, the sword of her deceased lover Li Mubai (Chow Yun Fat 周潤發). Xiulian and Sizhao, both Wudang disciples, were betrothed to each other at a young age, but Sizhao realized that Xiulian’s heart belonged to Mubai and therefore faked an injury during a martial arts competition, which allowed him to disappear and go into hiding. When he learns that Mubai has died and that Xiulian has been trapped, he reemerges as “Lone Wolf” to save her.
The Green Destiny will also discuss the fate of Tie Fang, the son of Yu Jiaolong (Zhang Ziyi 章子怡) and Luo Xiaohu (Chang Chen 張震). After birth, he was switched with a girl named Xue Ping, leading to much bitterness between the two generations. Insiders reveal that the producers are currently searching for A-listers to play these two roles and have gotten in touch with Huang Xiaoming to portray Tie Fang.
Yuen Woo Ping (袁和平), the martial arts choreographer for the first film, will return for the sequel, this time as the director. Zhang Ziyi has also been invited to reprise her role. Chang Chen, however, will not appear in the sequel as the older Luo Xiaohu.

Huang Xiao Ming seems to be everywhere. Can the producers get somebody else to portray Tie Fang? He is like his Angelababy, you see them everywhere.
i do agree with you…i like HXM.. but he’s everywhere.. boring
There aren’t really a ton of bankable male mainland actors.
Wait I’m confused, I thought Zhang Zi Yi’s character died? Or no….?
In the book she didn’t die
O:
So she survived the hundred metre plunge whilst pregnant???? I am so confused.

Which is why the movie had a better ending.
Was actually thinking of boycotting the movie since Michelle Yeoh is in it but I’d definitely give it a go because Donnie Yen is in it too.
So handsome
