Eason Chan’s Presale Concert Tickets Selling Quickly
Starting July 6, 2013, best-selling Hong Kong pop star Eason Chan (陳奕迅) will hold 12 concert shows at the Hong Kong Coliseum. The concert will be largely supported by the release of Eason’s 2012 album, …3mm.
Tickets for Eason’s concert will not be opened for sale to the public until April, but according to Oriental Daily, private internal ticket sales already exceeded the concert’s pre-order quota. Eason joked, “I never would have thought that my concert is even more in demand than infant formula!”
Eason is referencing the Chinese infant formula scandal in 2008, when mainland Chinese milk and infant formula were first found contaminated with melamine. Many mainland Chinese citizens rushed to Hong Kong to stock or smuggle gallons of milk formulas at a time, which caused Hong Kong to suffer a shortage of infant milk formulas.
Eason revealed that designer Joel Chu (朱祖兒) will be completely in charge of his concert’s creative production, artistic design, and marketing graphics. In regards to his concert’s official promotional poster, which features Eason looking into a mirror with his hand caressing a skull, Eason explained, “Flowers bloom and fade. Everything around us is ever-changing. We need to firmly hold onto what we have now. Sing our hearts out, dance our hearts out, and live our lives to the fullest. We need to live well at every moment to welcome our bright futures.”
Eason expressed that he had a great time working with Joel. When Joel handed him the skull at his photo shoot, Eason joked, “Is this real or fake? Ming Dynasty or Qing Dynasty? If it is an ancient artifact, I have to go wash my hands first so I will not disrespect our forefathers.”

Oh, that reminds me – will we see an English translation of the reports of Josie Ho’s half sister appearing drugged on the streets of Hong Kong?
Cleo,
We’ll be passing on Laurinda Ho’s episode. I believe she came out and denied that she was drugged at the time.
I believe it was Sabrina Ho, not Laurinda. Actually, she didn’t deny, but instead said she was mixing up her fever and weight-loss medications, causing her to not feel well.
or this could just be performance art:

Actually the baby formula crisis is still recent problem. Right before CNY this year there was a huge shortage, which made it into the news big time.

I might be in the minority, but I’m actually more interested to see Joel’s design over Eason’s singing. Not that Eason isn’t a good singer.
