Fred Cheng Records First Music Album

Having been in the industry for more than 10 years, Fred Cheng (鄭俊弘) played numerous supporting roles before getting his big career break last year. Unbeknownst to everyone, Fred possessed an amazing voice – the voice that propelled him into stardom after winning the singing competition, The Voice: Stars’ Legend <星夢傳奇>. Now finally, after years of hard work, Fred is releasing his debut album.

Shortly after Fred became an overnight sensation due to his victory on The Voice: Stars’ Legend,  TVB signed him as a music artiste under the company-owned record label, Voice Entertainment. Recording his own songs for the first time, Fred was in a great mood and ecstatic throughout the process. He stated that it was an overall great experience. Despite this happy occasion, he revealed that his song will express all the hardships he has endured.

Before Fred entered the recording studio, however, he expressed that he has a habit of removing his shoes first. As well, he always has a bottle of warm water beside him at all times. Fred also said, “Every time I finish recording my song, I have to bring a chair over and hug it while listening to the playback. There’s a lot more feeling to it and I can revel in the moment of it.”

Wrapping up his TVB filming projects, Fred will focus his efforts on recording his music album, which will be released in summer 2014. Despite his busy schedule, Fred realizes the importance of taking a breaking when necessary to recharge. In an earlier interview, he had admitted, “I’ve once experienced losing my voice before, and it dispirited me. In the year of the horse, I need to stay healthy for my jobs.”
