Sita Chan’s Last Music Video Released After Death
Hong Kong singer Sita Chan (陳僖儀) was killed in a car accident on April 17 when she lost control of her vehicle due to heavy fog and rain. She was driving home alone after having dinner with her music teacher and colleagues. Sita’s fans and friends expressed shock and sorrow and offered individual tributes to the rising Cantopop idol.
Sita’s management company, Sun Entertainment Culture, originally planned to release the music video for her latest song, “Reverse” <後備>, on April 18. Due to Sita’s sudden death, the company delayed the release to perfect the video while also allowing fans time to grieve.
Yesterday, Sun Entertainment Culture uploaded the full version of the music video on YouTube, generated hundreds of views within ten minutes. In the MV, Sita also plays the piano accompaniment. Wearing a flowing black dress, Sita softly sang the sorrowful ballad, pulling listeners into the sadness and despair of a woman unlucky in love.
An impromptu version of the filming of the MV was also released yesterday. The footage was taken when colleagues urged Sita to play the piano after she had completed filming for the music video. At the end of the performance, Sita showed her cheerful self as she turned to the camera and flashed a smile, playfully sticking her tongue out while her fingers formed into a “V”.
Sita’s record company praised her as a hardworking girl. On the set of the music video, Sita was asked to wear high heels while singing and playing the piano and was required to lie on the ground on wooden boards. Sita completed her tasks professionally and without complaints despite the rough working conditions.
Fans left messages in remembrance of Sita, many shared that the music left a strong impression and made them tear up as it ended.
Funeral Arrangements
The staff from Sun Entertainment Culture met with Sita’s family to discuss the funeral arrangements. Since Sita was in a choir when she was in high school, arrangements were made to have a choir sing at the funeral. A memorial service will be held on May 10, and the funeral will take place the following day.

The song title sounds like a sad irony. If only her death could be reversed. I do not know her well but the way people talk about her make it seems like she’s a nice, genuine person and its a shame her life ended so soon, so suddenly. Rest in Peace, Sita.
Miss you……
HK’s new #1 single for weeks to come.
the part where she sang acapella 對著鏡子呆望自己的講「原來我 根本不算什麼」… so much feels.
RIP, Sita.
Wish I known of you earlier.
Yea, that part is really sad… It is sad that at times, someone is not treasured or cherished until they are truly gone. I wish that I knew about her earlier too. She looks like Suzanne Xiao in the above photo. A very beautiful and talented singer. What a big loss… May she rest in peace…
#1 The name of the song should be “Backup” not “Reverse”
#2 The impromptu MV was not released ‘yesterday’ it was released last week, a day or two before her death.
Its been more than 2 weeks that sita’s gone. Still cant accept this fact…still crying everytime i listen to this song. She was such a cheerful and hardworking girl. My idol
