100 Korean Media Outlets Refused to Cover Kim Soo Hyun’s Scandal

Although Kim Soo Hyun’s involvement with Kim Sae Ron only surfaced after her suicide, their relationship was apparently an open secret among the Korean media. However, no one dared to report it due to Kim Soo Hyun’s influence.

Kim Sae Ron’s family’s entrusted lawyer, Korea Celebrity Suicide Prevention Association president Kwon Young Chan shared a lawsuit will soon be filed against Kim Soo Hyun, as more evidence was found by her family while sorting through Kim Sae Ron’s belongings. Another lawsuit will be filed against YouTuber Lee Jin Ho, who made damaging claims against Kim Sae Ron including allegations that she was secretly married prior to her death.

During a press conference, many details were revealed, with Kwon Young Chan sharing the family had approached about 100 Korean mainstream media outlets requesting coverage, but all of them had been rejected. “Some people have asked why we chose [YouTube’s] Garosero Research Institute to expose the truth. We sent letters to 100 media outlets and they all rejected us. It is said that all entertainment reporters knew about Kim Sae Ron and Kim Soo Hyun’s relationship, but they couldn’t write about it.”

Kwon Young Chan’s statement sparked a huge debate on forums, with South Korean netizens angrily criticizing, “I don’t understand why they didn’t write about it;” “It seems like all the reporters knew;” “How much money did the agency spend?” “I didn’t expect Kim Soo Hyun’s agency to be so powerful” and “This is just too much.”
