2012 Sexiest Man Alive in China Award @ JayneStars

It’s time to vote for the male celebrity that you think deserves the title of “2012 Sexiest Man Alive in China” @ JayneStars.com!

Last year, Ruco Chan (陳展鵬 ) won the “Sexiest Man Alive in Hong Kong Award” by a landslide due to his breakout role in The Other Truth <真相>. Not only is Ruco handsome and hot, his personality and perseverance also added big bonus points.

To increase the excitement of the poll this year, male celebrities from Hong Kong, mainland China and Taiwan have been included. With a total of 92 nominees, you will be certain to find a sexy man to support everyday!

Voting Rules

  1. Press “VOTE” button next to the name of the male celebrity of your choice.  You will receive a confirmation message on the screen indicating your vote has been tabulated.
  2. Each person can place ONE vote per 24 hours.
  3. You can vote everyday for a different candidate.
  4. The poll will end on Monday, October 8, 2012. All votes placed before the deadline will be tabulated. The winner and complete voting results will be announced then.
Why Are the Live Voting Results Not Displayed?

Through past polls implemented at JayneStars.com, we realized that the display of live voting results affected voter psychology, resulting in a greater voting bias. As voters were aware of the leading candidates through live votes, this affected the manner in how they voted. Some voters employed “voting strategies,” resulting in votes primarily placed for the top three candidates last year.

To minimize the impact of voter psychology, JayneStars.com decided to only display the complete voting results at the conclusion of the poll instead. We assure that the results are fair and representative of the sampling population on our site.

Our site does not endorse any specific artists, as we offer news coverage on a broad range of artists in Hong Kong, mainland China, and Taiwan. Our “Sexiest Man Alive in China” poll is created to celebrate the attraction of Chinese male celebrities. Have fun! Vote everyday!

How the Candidates Were Selected

JayneStars.com’s 7-member Nomination Committee (consisting of our news writers and Advisory Committee members) drafted a preliminary list of male celebrities for the “2012 Sexiest Man Alive in China Award.” Only the male celebrities that were approved by at least 4 of our Nomination Committee members were included in the final poll, ensuring the hottest high-quality men!

      @ Bridget: Yan Kuan & Wallace Huo. 2 gorgeous man introduce to us from the drama that Ruby Lin directed and acted last year. The Glamorous Imperial Concubines.
      Both is absolutely beautiful man in ancient costume.
      Too bad only could vote once. So Yan Kuan will have my vote as I know Wallace will had his fan base and I don’t want Yan Kuan to come last

        Yan Kuan and Wallace Huo, both in Qing Shi Huang Fei, the single series with the handsomest cast ever. Both are beautiful in their own way, just depends on who you prefer.

        Thank you! Hmm, googled some pictures. Yan Kuan looks Japanese from some angles… but I can see why some people would think he’s sexy. Wallace Huo… would need to see him move. Don’t think pictures do him justice.

        Haha Bridget, you’re correct about pictures won’t do Wallace justice. He is known for feeling uneasy in front of a still camera. Surprise he isn’t shy when in front of a rolling video camera…. but then he wouldn’t be a star if he is, right. LOL

        Qing Shi Huang Fei has 44 episodes.

      Wallace Huo (霍建华) is gorgeous! He is Zhong Xiao Gang in At the Dolphin Bay (海豚湾恋人)and Li Ge Xiao in Strange Hero Yi Zhi Mei (怪侠一枝梅)! Two different characters in two different periods, which only proves the man is mature and his acting is taking a huge leap! Despite the fact he is good looking and was popular all over Asia back in 2004, he left Taiwan abruptly and went to China to start all over again as a new comer. His quote is he wants to stay away from being an idol and gets closer as much as possible as an actor

        Thanks Joey. You said it all. It’s easier said than done. Wallace Huo didn’t continue his contract with his agent who had planned an idol road map for him. He went to China alone with his manager, a friend from high school, and started solo. He has not signed up with any company since.

    We were able to follow each celeb’s voting figures last year but we can’t see them this time. How do we do who is leading, coming 2nd, 3rd……etc??

      The live voting results last year resulted in altering voter psychology and voting bias.

      The poll results are kept hidden until the poll ends and the winner is announced. Although this may take away the instant gratification of knowing the live poll results, this yields in more “honest” votes since fans can vote without distract ion as to who is currently leading.

      Is the 3 week suspense of not knowing too much? 🙂

      Well, he may be the sexiest man alive in Korea, but not in China. But then, they have Wu Chun, who is from Brunei, and Daniel Wu, who is from the US, in this circus so who knows.

      I hope Ron Ng is leading the ballot right now as voters could imagine him flexing his “flaps” and tummy rolls.

    Jiang jing fu jiang jing fu please vote for him. He’s the male lead in xuan yuan jian chen jing chou. Xuan yuan jian is my favourite series because there are many good actresses and actors such as hu ge liu shi shi tang yan nazha and jiang jing fu. They’re all my favourite.
