2013 Miss Hong Kong: Tammy Au Yeung is a Gold Digger?
Contestants of the Miss Hong Kong pageant in recent years have been humiliated by scandalous photos that cropped up from their past. This year’s pageant hopeful, #13 Tammy Au Yeung (歐陽巧瑩), had posted racy photos on Instagram, coupled with outrageous comments on her breasts. Tammy was rumored to be a gold digger, was taken care of by a wealthy businessman, and had a questionable debt history.
Denies Being a Gold Digger
Tammy’s circulating bed photos were suspected to be taken by her boyfriend, who recently dumped her and forced her to move out of his luxury residence in Central. Tammy had tried to rent out her designer handbags on Instagram to make money, asking for a rental fee of $1,000 HKD per hour.
Tammy denied she was a gold digger, and said that she had lived together with female friends in Central, but moved out after a mutual agreement. She has moved back to her own home.
Tammy had also taken out a loan at a financial institution, in which a woman claiming to be her high school friend stepped forward and said she was the loan guarantor. Tammy admitted that she had taken out a loan in 2011 due to her family’s financial crisis, but will not respond to the woman who claims to be the loan guarantor.
Denies Taking Sexy Photos and Plastic Surgery
In one of Tammy’s circulating sexy photos, Tammy touched her breast and made the comment, “Do you want to kiss my ball?” referring to her chest. Tammy claimed she had forgotten about the photo until the press showed her a copy. Tammy said, “That one was my good friend. I wouldn’t make such a teasing remark to others. I remember that above my message, she had said that my figure was good, so I made the comment back in jest. This is my personal way of communicating. Now that I know people do not like it, I will change.”
In another photo, a man was hugging the woman from behind, while grabbing her breast. Tammy denied that she was the woman in the photo and claimed that she did not know the couple. Tammy said, “I didn’t take those photos; I don’t even have any kissing photos!” She also denied that she had undergone plastic surgery.
Despite the slur of negative rumors, Tammy remains unshaken and will not withdraw from the pageant. She said that her spirit will not be shaken.
Rumors of Other Contestants
At a recent Miss Hong Kong appearance, Wong Cho Lam (王祖藍) and Amigo Chui (崔建邦) teased the contestants about their recent rumors. Cho Lam joked that Tammy is now very popular after her racy photos surfaced. Amigo said her biggest virtue is her perseverance. Despite the hosts’ remarks, Tammy held her composure and responded with ease.
In related news, contestant #14 Sara Lam (林思韻) was mocked for her weight-loss efforts, and contestant #1 Kendy Cheung (張敬仁) was asked about whether girls pursued her in her all-girls school. She said abashedly, “There were. But I did tell them I already have a boyfriend.” Labeled as one of the contestants who underwent plastic surgery, Kendy clarified, “I just removed my braces. I used to have two protruding teeth. They made me look ugly.”

Don’t these girls who enter pageants ever think of removing their photos before entering??
When its on the internet, its there forever. Any IT genius can get those photos.
normal type.. not pretty at all.. hk no more pretty gal?
I’m sure there are tones of pretty girls in HK, they just don’t enter.
agree. probably cuz those pretty girls are already living a happy smart life~ c:
You would think they will need to clear themselves and all such photos when been selected for the finalist!! Are they stupid?? Media will trawl and seek everywhere for such information to attract sales. Don’t feel sorry for her
Because some people think having their settings set as ‘private’ will prevent others from looking into their postings.
a disgrace to the pageant… girls of low quality
TVB must be loving it. You know the more scandalous the gossip the more promotion for the pageant. it’s win win.
not for miss hongkong pageant, many ppl will be watching the show including grand parents and grand children
The image of the couple in embrace looks nothing like the girl at all… how is this tied to her?
As for everything else in the article… any information people post on the net becomes an instant searchable record. It’s why I don’t have any social networking accounts (like “weibo”).
You wouldn’t sit down and share family photos with the stranger sitting beside you on a bus, so why post them onto the internet?
she looks so not miss hongkong
Same everywhere many real pretty girls do not enter beauty pagents. If they do; one of those girls/ladies would win. Unfortunately the way it is…!
MS Hk has really gone down the drain and I really miss the good old days when the contestants were of way higher quality. I guess no one wants to be MS Hk anymore since the title does not seem to mean what it used to anymore.
tammy au yeung must be disqualified
I agree and she should just withdraw because I do not think HK wants someone like her to represent them. But then again, she is most likely not going to win, but hopefully TVB does not recruit her on to their station.
If they all can, then wow I don’t know what to say. I should’ve enter years ago with my cousins. This girl is below average I’m sorry! My cousins and I can still outbeat them. Gosh…why can’t they recruit girls from streets to enter the pageant then let these girls enter?
Key answer… Denial…..
Uh-oh, another ‘gold-digger’ article. Why not do something a little different for once, and write about how that rich but ugly and unattractive old guy needs to use his money to get a girl to even notice his existence? Or maybe be a little kinder and stop judging and name-calling these people? That wouldn’t be half bad. Honestly, they are adults. If lady here wants to be with a richer man, and rich dude here wants to be with a young and attractive lady, so be it? They’re not doing anything wrong and it’s not a negative thing. They are making each other happy in their own way, the end.
Why I am shocked there is gambling going on here!
Or to be more applicable: Why I am shocked there is gold digging in the Miss HK pageant.
