55-Year-old Lui Fong to Become a Father

Lui Fong (呂方) is ready to be a father for the first time.

Sources have confirmed that the 55-year-old singer is expecting his first child with wife Rainbow Ng (伍惠寶). She is currently five months pregnant.

Lui Fong previously dated Carol Cheng (鄭裕玲) for 16 years.

Lui Fong’s relationship with Rainbow, who is 16 years his junior, was first revealed in late 2013 when paparazzi spotted the pair eating together. In 2015, Lui Fong confirmed Rainbow’s identity at his Hong Kong Coliseum Concert, and referred to Rainbow as “Miss Lui” to maintain her privacy. They registered for marriage earlier this year.

Rainbow is a self-made businesswoman. In 2010, she started an online grocery delivery service. The business has been successful, and it is estimated that Rainbow is worth at least HK$10 million.

Both Lui Fong and Rainbow bonded over their mutual interest in cooking and expertise in fresh ingredients. The couple enjoy coming up with fresh meal plans together, and also share exercising as a hobby, as they often go out riding together.

Besides preparing for a new family, Lui Fong has also been busy for his upcoming Hong Kong Coliseum show in December, his first show at the famous Hong Kong arena in five years. 2020 will be a happy but busy year.

“I’m anxious and excited,” said Lui Fong, when asked about this thoughts on being a father. “My life is on its way to the next chapter. I need to start learning how to be a father.”
