“A Business Proposal” Ratings Climb to New High
Starring Kim Se Jeong and Ahn Hyo Seop, South Korean drama A Business Proposal may appear to be following the cliché rom-com formula, but it has successfully charmed the audience with its fast-paced and hilarious plot line.
The drama is adapted from a popular webtoon and follows office worker Shin Ha RI (Kim Se Jeong) as she impersonates her friend on a blind date. However, Shin Ha Ri soon realizes that her blind date is with the CEO of her company, Kang Tae Mu (Ahn Hyo Seop) and he even proposes that they get married!
While A Business Proposal premiered with a modest rating of 4.9 percent, it soon reached a new high of 11.2 percent by the fourth episode. The drama is currently sitting at the top spot and is the third most buzzworthy drama among netizens. Many fans are delighted by the drama’s humorous antics and reveal that they are looking forward to future episodes.
As a treat to fans for their support, Kim Se Jeong and Ahn Hyo Seop appeared in a radio talk show and agreed to sing a duet for an OST. The leading actress promised, “If the viewership ratings exceed 10 percent, we will be very grateful. We have a strong OST listing so I will choose one of them and change the lyrics. Ahn Hyo Seop will sing with the original lyrics and we will sing together.”
