“A Time Called You” Releases Drama Stills
Taiwanese drama Someday or One Day <想見你> was an critical hit when it was released in 2019. Expectations are high for upcoming Korean remake, which will be released on Netflix.
In the original Taiwanese drama, the story is set in 2023, a year after Huang Yu Hsuan’s (Alice Ko 柯佳嬿) boyfriend has passed. One day, she receives a parcel containing a Walkman and a cassette tape of Wu Bai‘s (伍佰) album The End of Love. She falls asleep while listening to the tape on a bus and when she wakes up, she discovers she is transported to 1998. Regaining consciousness in the body of a high school girl who had been hit by a car the night before, she sees a boy beside her hospital bed who looks exactly the same as her late boyfriend. Initially, she believes she is reunited with her boyfriend, but things are not how they appear.
The Korean adaptation features Jeon Yeo Been in Alice Ko’s role and Ahn Hyo Seop in Greg Hsu‘s (許光漢) role. His best friend is portrayed by Kang Hoon, who has a crush on Jeon Yeo Been.
Netflix released new stills from the Korean adaptation showing Jeon Yeo Been and Ahn Hyo Seop embracing while looking deeply into each other’s eyes. Many netizens praised them for their chemistry and expressed anticipation for the drama to air.
A Time Called You is co-produced by Kim Jin Won, the director of Rain or Shine and My Country: The New Age. The script is by Choi Hyo Bi, the screenwriter of Baby Sitter. The drama is expected to be broadcast in September.
