Aaron Kwok Grieves at Lynn Hung’s Father’s Funeral

Lynn Hung (熊 黛林)’s father, Hung Ren Quan (熊仁權) passed away on January 7 after his liver cancer recurred. Aaron Kwok (郭富城) was constantly by Lynn’s side throughout the funeral held yesterday morning to lend his support.

After the funeral service, Aaron accompanied Lynn in the family van to the crematorium. Dressed plainly, Aaron also donned a pair of sunglasses and a mask. Aware of the presence of reporters, Aaron was reverent and did not draw attention to himself. Once inside the crematorium hall, Aaron respectfully removed his sunglasses and mask. As with the rest of the deceased’s close family, Aaron stood in the first row. Although Aaron and Lynn left the crematorium separately, they met for a meal again afterward.

When Xiong Ren Quan was diagnosed with liver cancer last year, Lynn promptly arranged for her father to fly to Hong Kong to recuperate at the Hong Kong Sanatorium and Hospital. It was alleged that Aaron helped to lighten Lynn’s financial burden by forking more than $1 million HKD for her father’s medical bills.

Engagement Postponed

With Aaron’s presence as part of the family at the funeral, his actions inadvertently acknowledged his relationship with Lynn although he had never openly admitted to their romance in the past.

Earlier last year, Lynn and Aaron split temporarily due to Lynn reportedly pressuring Aaron to get married. Later in October, on Lynn’s birthday, Aaron surprised her with a pre-honeymoon trip to the Maldives and an expensive car as an engagement gift, thus confirming his plan to marry her. However, because of her father’s illness, their engagement was postponed indefinitely.

  1. Her father must only be a few years older than her boyfriend.

  2. I know the pain of losing a loved so my deepest sympathies to Lynn’s family and it is sad that he did not live long enough to see his daughter get married. It is great that Aaron will eventually marry Lynn.

  3. RIP for her father and be blessed… Ironically, Andy Lau was 1st acknoledged as Carol partner, when he attended Carol’s father passing funeral in Malaysia…Now, Aaron attended Lynn’s father funeral in same manner… Perhaps, Aaron will end up marrying Lynn same as Andy case..

  4. yeah, there’s a 25 cents charge per forum post. email me and we can set you up with our starter package.

  5. Are you the same Funn Lim who posts here regularly? No offence meant, but you sound very different in this post!!!

    1. No, she’s not. The regular Funn Lim has the own unique avatar.

  6. @ Wong Lim Funn

No, you don’t need to pay a fee. You are unfortunate to use the name ‘Funn Lim’. In the past, out regular commenter who is also named Funn Lim got harassed by some impersonators who deliberately pretend to be her and wrote many not so nice posts. I guess Jayne thought you are one of these people.

  7. It’s okay. Just change it to lam fung and you will get lots of female fans here.

    1. How come I don’t have female fans here ? all I have is Mak Lak Lo 🙁

  8. I don’t have any problem using Raymond Lam here, so is ok you use Lim Funn or even Lam Fung

  9. Really? Years ago? Strange that if I google and I see my own posts for many many pages.

  10. To Wong Lim Funn, Please by all means use Lim Funn. Funn Lim has been my identity for a decade on the net. If you don’t want to be mistaken or get deleted for whatever reasons, use your own Lim Funn name.

  11. Compare this to the mess that was Andy Lau’s father in law’s funeral.

  12. What a relief to have this sorted out. Glad to have the authentic Funn Lim back (or…..eh….’lam’ fung…).
    LOL…

    1. If I may respectfully request that you either add something to your name or change it? It is confusing even to me. If you’re Wong Lim Funn, by all means use Lim Funn or Wong Funn or New Funn or Lam Funn or whatever. Thank you.

    2. @ Wong Lim Funn, looks like there’s still a bit of confusion here. I was actually rooting for the original Funn Lim. I know a lot of people advocate freedom of speech here, I guess freedom and right of choosing names are equally important, but you should seriously consider another name. New Funn is good.

We just want our original Funn Lim back.

    3. Xinn,

Even I myself am confused if Wong Lim Funn = Funn or Lim Funn or whatever.

In fact, am I.. me? But thanks for your post.
