Aaron Kwok Hopes to Get Married Soon
Aaron Kwok‘s (郭富城) concert at the Studio City Macau, Asia’s first leisure resort that integrates television and film production facilities, opened to cheering crowds yesterday.
Opening with an energetic and sensual dance, Aaron subsequently performed several stunts, including a headstand and dancing while leaning towards the stage floor at a 45-degree angle. Aaron even stood on a narrow three-meter tall platform and performed contortionist poses.
Engaging in close interaction with the audience, Aaron conversed with in Mandarin and Cantonese. Throughout the concert, Aaron’s movements were so rigorous that at one point, he nearly knocked off a microphone stand from the stage. Fortunately, Aaron managed to catch the microphone stand with his quick reflexes.
As a previous winner of Best Actor at the Golden Horse Film Awards, Aaron also performed several movie theme songs. Struck by the songs he was singing, Aaron said pensively, “I feel like the film stage mirrors my life. Each time I play a particular role, I discover a different ‘Aaron Kwok’. It adds a deeper dimension to life.”
After the concert, Aaron raved about the facilities at the Studio City Macau and mentioned that Madonna would soon be performing at the same venue. He added that the organizers had already reserved tickets for him. He also revealed that he would be holding a concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum next summer.
As for Aaron’s supposed plan to propose to a woman on the ferris wheel at the Studio City Macau, and his exclamation on his 50th birthday that he wished to get married and have a child as soon as possible, Aaron responded candidly, “These events might happen in the future, but no one knows when. If I do get married, I will let everyone know. I’m old enough…I will be sensible with the way I handle things.”
On good friend Chilam Cheung‘s (張智霖) recent disclosure that Aaron once brought a female partner with him to a gathering with friends, Aaron denied that it was true. He added, “Don’t speak rubbish. I usually put work first, and let nature take its course when it comes to matters of the heart. Settling down and starting a family is the next step in my life plan. When the time is right, I will make an announcement.”
Aaron then expressed that he is confident in winning Best Actor for the third time at the upcoming Golden Horse Film Awards. When asked whether he followed the recent news of the Chinese celebrity prostitution scandal, Aaron responded, “I am not so gossipy to have followed it!”
