Aaron Kwok Makes First Public Appearance After Marriage Announcement

The cast of Journey to the West 3 <西遊記：女兒國>, including the groom-to-be Aaron Kwok (郭富城) promoted the film at the Beijing International Film Festival a few days ago. Aaron was the last star to walk the red carpet alongside his Journey to the West costars Chiling Lin (林志玲), William Feng (馮紹峰), Zanilia Zhao (趙麗穎), and Him Law (羅仲謙).

It was Aaron’s first official public appearance after confirming his marriage with girlfriend Moka Fang (方媛). Their wedding will be held at an unknown location this month in Hong Kong.

Aaron greeted reporters and fans with a large smile, but declined interviews. He went backstage before reporters had the chance to ask him questions about Moka, who recently shared a picture of her missing dog on social media. Her dog wore a golden head band in the photo, perhaps in reference of Aaron’s role as the Monkey King in Journey to the West 3.

The actor stayed mute about this private life, but he did talk when it came to questions about his film. He described the film as “allergic”, sharing that his Monkey King makeup caused some allergic reactions on his skin.

Aaron was not the only standout star to hit the red carpet last weekend. His costar Chiling shined the press with her thigh-high slit, showing off her leg. Veteran comedy actress Kingdom Yuen (苑瓊丹) surprised everyone in attendance with a rare see-through dress, showing her sexier side. The costars told reporters to look forward to their performance in the film, as visual effects and makeup made them almost unrecognizable in the film.
