Acting As Vulgar Mafia Boss, Fala Chen Curses and Slaps Louis Yuen
The film premiere for Shaw Brother’s new movie, The Fortune Buddies <勁抽福祿壽>was held last night. Producer Eric Tsang (曾志偉)and cast members, Fala Chen (陳法拉), Fiona Sit (薛凱琪), Maggie Cheung (張可頤), Wong Cho Lam (王祖藍), Louis Yuen (阮兆祥), Johnson Li (李思捷), Christine Kuo (苟芸慧)and Samantha Ko (高海寧)attended the premiere. Fala wore a back-baring dress while Christine wore a gown with a plunging neckline, challenging “Busty Goddess” Samantha Ko who revealed her sexy back and front sides.
The newly crowned 2011 Miss Hong Kong, Rebecca Zhu (朱晨麗), was noted to closely resemble Fala Chen in features and appearance. Fala generously admitted that she watched the 2011 Miss Hong Kong competition and predicted that Rebecca would be placed in the top three positions. Praising Rebecca’s performance during the pageant, Fala was happy that Rebecca won the 2011 Miss Hong Kong title.
With rampant comparisons between Fala and Rebecca, was Fala concerned about the growing competition? Fala stated confidently, “I welcome it! I am not afraid. It is necessary to have new blood in the company for filming series and variety programs. It is good to have healthy competition!”
Despite her gentle appearance, Fala took a departure from her existing image and portrayed a mafia boss in her new film, The Fortune Buddies. In the movie, Fala cursed and slapped Louis Yuen’s face. The filming process was enjoyable and Fala attempted to show her roughest side. However, the director complained that Fala was not vulgar.

haha poor Louis Yuen, I think the scene will look rather funny than violent imo cuz both Fala and Louis are way too polite, gentle and funny in person, really hard to imagine Fala acting fierceful and vulgar at all
Looks can be deceiving.. Some can look classy and all but aren’t and vice versa. Look at Michele Reis, she looks classy and elegant, however, based on what we know about her… I don’t think she is classy or elegant…

R u saying Fala isn’t polite, gentle, funny, classy or elegant from her looks? Well, she seems like someone who knows what she wants for her life and a loyal partner since I never see her gossips about dating other male artist or ppl outside the industry.

No, I wasn’t really aiming at Fala, I was just saying in general how some people may look a certain way but really aren’t that way… I do admit that I don’t really like Fala, but she is attractive. However, I am not sure about classy or elegant. She is more of the cute type to me…

I also cannot imagine Fala to be vulgar as she seems too lady-like. However, it should be interesting to watch and maybe she can carry it off so we’ll just have to wait and see.

I already have hard time accepting policewoman Fala and now I don’t know how I will accept a vulgar Fala. She may do better in more feminine roles.
Kate Tsui will be able to do the mafia boss vulgar woman act. Just watch her in ‘Short of Love’. Very big sister like and very fierce.
With that fierce face it’s better she do fierce roles than goody roles such as WAW. She looks fake in goody roles.
LOL I agree that Kate could do mafia boss well haha with her eyes and sharp features. I watched, “A Great Way To Care,” and it seemed like she did clueless or a lil bit slow well too.
Even Fala’s Szeto Ngan Ping in “Can’t Buy Me love” was pretty cute despite being a miser.
She’s watchable in AGWTC because she has a crazy role ROFL. Her mean face and eyes suits strong, crazy, fierce roles

Kate is not always crazy in AGWTC. Most of the time, she’s in the clueless/lil bit slow mode in the series. Only later, her illness surfaces.
Can’t wait to see this. But this also means that afterwards, there’s only two results. She would either gain many haters, or get a huge increase in fans.
