Actor Chu Zijun Involved in Sexual Assault Case

Chinese drama My Journey to You <雲之羽> starring Esther Yu Shuxin (虞書欣) and Zhang Linghe (張凌赫) was originally scheduled to air right after Love You Seven Times <七時吉祥> However, My Journey to You has been suddenly pulled from the broadcast lineup. Cast member, Chu Zijun (儲子竣), 19, was accused of sexual assault by a female minor drawing comparisons with Kris Wu’s (吳亦凡) rape scandal.

Currently studying at The Central Academy of Drama, Chu Zijun was cast in Marry Me, My Queen <不及將軍送我情> Chinese Paladin 6 <仙劍奇俠傳6> and The Land of Warriors <斗羅大陸2>. In My Journey to You, Chu Zijun portrays Prince Xue, winning over fans with his handsome appearance before the drama even aired.

My Journey to You faced numerous obstacles during production. Netizens drew comparisons to its costumes resembling Japanese clothing, makeup, and hairstyles. If Chu Zijun’s rumors are indeed found to be true, My Journey to You will likely need to delete his scenes and go through production again and severely delay the broadcast date.

Angry at Chu Zijun, netizens commented, “If this is fake, please quickly deny the rumors. If not, you will harm many other dramas” and “Are you not replying because you were actually arrested? Why are you not speaking up?”

Chu Zijun last posted on Weibo at the end of July. His scandal is rumored to have caused his current drama The Land of Warriors to halt filming.
