Ada Choi Celebrates Max Zhang’s Birthday in the Maldives
Not long after her postpartum confinement, Ada Choi (蔡少芬) and her husband Max Zhang (張晉豐) went to the Maldives to celebrate Max’s 39th birthday. As if on a honeymoon, the blissful couple shared their photographs and blessings on Weibo.
After living in the shadow of Ada for a long time, Max finally had a breakthrough in his career this year. Playing the antagonist, Ma Shan in Wong Kar Wai’s (王家衛) The Grandmaster <一代宗師>, Max made a name for himself and job offers have been streaming in. In March, Ada gave birth to their second daughter. Their family is now complete with two girls and Ada said she does not wish to have more children.
While in the Maldives, Ada and Max shared many photographs of their vacation. Ada has already regained back her pre-pregnancy figure and she wore a bikini while on the beach. Max also flashed photographs of himself, half-naked against the backdrop of the beautiful Maldives water. One of the photos shows the couple sharing a cocktail and another one showed Ada giving Max a peck on the cheek while holding a plate with a mini cake and the words, “Happy B’day Mr. Zhang” written on it.
Max posted on his Weibo, “I had a happy birthday today. My wife and I counted our blessings this morning: the job opportunities after The Grandmaster; our younger daughter’s birth; and Zoe is growing up healthily. I’m so grateful! Will continue to work hard! Happy birthday, Max Zhang!”
Ada posted, “Happy birthday! Wish you will be happy every day! Hope your work will be more satisfying each time and you are able to give the viewers many surprises! Dumpling Bun will always love you, listen to you,” and “ May you wife get prettier and may she have a good figure. May she be likeable and be able to be a domestic goddess…. Anyway, hope she can bring you endless happiness and make your life wonderful! Your wife who always loves you….”

I was especially touched by Ada’s message to Max, “Anyway, hope she can bring you endless happiness and make your life wonderful! Your wife who always loves you…”
They are a loving couple and their vacation seemed to be a blast.
Absolutely agree with you Jayne. It is a beautiful birthday msg! It is important for couples to have these honeymoon moments even when they are married with kids. Glad they took the time to get away. 🙂
I also agree with you Jayne that Ada seems like such a sweet wife who wants to take care of her husband and dotes on him, unlike many wives today who always expect the husband to take care of them and dote on them. They are such a sweet couple!
Siying and HeTieShou,
I think Ada went through a lot in her past love life, so she truly cherishes Max. Also, Max comes across as a very accommodating husband.
I’m sorry to hear that her past love life did not run smooth but I’m really happy to see where she is today.
I agree with you and HeTieShou that she cherishes him and is a wonderful wife who takes care of her husband.
I believe the little things like doting on each other, thoughtful and sincere words and deeds, all help keep it together. Also, an accommodating husband like Max makes things a little easier too. Wish them love always. 🙂
Many have a rough love life, but still are not lucky to find their true love and have a happy ending. Ada is lucky to do so and glad that she cherishes Max a lot and takes care of him.
In the picture, it says “happy bday Ma Zhang”
Ah.. it’s suppose to be “Mr. Zhang” … i see i see
Beautiful couple. So glad to see that Ada found happiness. She truly deserves it. She didn’t expect Max to have huge success before she married him, that’s true and unconditional love. I hope her wishes for Max all come true!
Very lovely couple 🙂 Max is quite a hotty lol
awe what a lovely picture (:
I wonder if any of you ever saw the series Shui Yue Dong Tian which was the series that they met in?? They were not a couple but were both really cute in there. There was also a scene where he tried to kill her too. It was a good series and is unforgettable for them since that was the one that they met each other in.
I saw Part I and II. Part II was so pointless. It was flashbacks after flashbacks. But I really liked Part I and Monica looked gorgeous. So white and pure.
Yea, part 2 was a bit boring and had sooo many flashbacks that it was so unnecessary. My mom complained and whined so much that it was not funny…
Max Zhang looks like the older version of Lay Yi Xing from EXO!
