Ada Choi Enjoys Family Time While on Maternity Leave

While her TVB drama Beauty at War is making headlines due to low viewership, Ada Choi (蔡少芬) focused instead on her family, pouring all of her energy into her two young daughters. Although Ada often complained about boredom while resting at home, the second-time mom and husband Max Zhang (張晉) personally attended to their children’s care. Last Friday, the couple was spotted shuffling their eldest daughter to and from school before stopping for lunch and shopping. The loving family enjoyed an afternoon together and Ada even scored a new luxury handbag!

Since giving birth to her second daughter Zhang Xiner (張信兒) on March 25, Ada remained home for her postpartum recovery period. Ada expressed her boredom on Weibo, and spent much time responding to colleagues and fans’ messages. Last Thursday, Ada finally completed her recovery and celebrated by immediately leaving the house for a hair appointment.

The following morning, reporters spotted Ada and Max taking their daughter Zoe (張楚兒) to school. After parking their 7-seat minivan, loving father Max quickly took Zoe across the street while Ada remained behind with a female companion. Looking tired and slightly disheveled, Ada carried her newborn daughter Xiner tightly in her arms while her assistant shielded the two with a large umbrella. While the party made their way to Zoe’s school, Ada became aware of the presence of reporters.

At the end of the school day, Max first guarded Ada and Xiner as they strolled back to the car. Since Ada had discovered the reporters earlier, she was careful before stepping out of the building, letting her hair down and wearing a face mask. Once Ada and Xiner were settled into the vehicle, Max hurriedly returned to the school to pick up Zoe and asked about her school day.

The family then joined friends for lunch and spent the rest of the afternoon at the mall. The couple decided on a dehumidifier after careful consideration. Arriving at a Bottega Veneta boutique, Ada was immediately attracted to a new handbag. After quiet discussions, Ada and her assistant left the store happily, leaving Max behind to pick up the tab.
