After Splitting with Raymond Lam, Karena Ng Abandons Luxury Lifestyle

The cost of breaking up with Raymond Lam (林峯) is hefty for Karena Ng (吳千語). While dating Raymond, Karena lived at his $80 million HKD home, dressed in designer clothes, and was chauffeured around. After the couple ended their five-year relationship, Karena had to give up on former luxuries and trade down her lifestyle.

Although it was speculated that Karena’s involvement with businessman Brian Shi (施伯雄) had resulted in her split with Raymond, the 24-year-old actress claims that she is still single at a recent event appearance. It appears that this may be true as Karena is currently living modestly, without the benefits of dating a rich boyfriend.

Since Karena is often filming in Mainland China for months once she starts a filming project, she decided to save money on rent by moving into a modest apartment in Kennedy Town. The local rent costs approximately $10,000 HKD per month.

There were other visible ways that Karena has tried to cut back on her spending. Loving luxury handbags while dating Raymond, Karena was sighted only carrying a paper shopping bag yesterday. She dressed simply in an oversize jacket and black tights. Taking a taxi into the Wong Chuk Hang factory area, Karena disappeared into a commercial building.
