Aimee and Moses Chan are Expecting a Son

Aimee Chan (陳茵媺) finally revealed that she and husband Moses Chan (陳豪) are expecting a son.

Aimee attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Swiss watchmaker Titoni on October 7, her first work function since announcing her marriage and pregnancy this summer. Currently 7 months pregnant, Aimee maintained a slim physique, showing up at the event in a form-fitting black dress and a pair of 5-inch peep toe wedges.

As it was Aimee’s first official public appearance, reporters rushed to ask for baby updates. When asked to reveal her baby’s gender, Aimee happily shared, “It is a son. He will either be a Christmas baby or a New Year baby.” As for whether the couple preferred a boy or a girl, Aimee said that Moses did not have a preference but she is certainly happy to be carrying a boy, declaring “I will be my son’s only woman for a period of time.”

Although Aimee suffered from severe morning sickness during the early stages of pregnancy, her condition has greatly improved. She shared that the baby is healthy and very active. While she fortunately did not develop strange cravings, Aimee made her child’s health a priority and has stopped eating raw fish and drinking coffee. She did however allow herself some chocolate every once in awhile. “Sometimes I would eat a little to make myself happy. My food intake must be well-balanced so that the baby would not become picky later on.”

When asked about her baby plans, Aimee stated that she has chosen to give birth in Hong Kong and will remain there for preparations. She has yet to decide on a method of birth, though she wants the process to be as natural as possible. “It is something that only a woman can experience, so I will enjoy the process no matter what. I will not choose a date. I will let him decide when he wants to come out to meet his parents….” Aimee added that Moses will likely accompany her in the birthing room. Asked if Moses is afraid of blood, Aimee joked, “He always plays a doctor, so I think he will be okay.”

  1. Congratulations, Aimee and Moses. Hope your son will be a New Year baby so that he will always be the oldest one in class, and not the youngest one if he is a Christmas baby.

    1. Congratulations Aimee and Moses.
Sandcherry, as I’m a Dec baby, I hope you understand that I wish they’ll have a Dec baby 🙂

      1. It is lovely to be a Christmas baby, but he/she will always be the youngest kid in the class. Sometimes there can be a big gap in learning especially when the child is under 12.

Puff, perhaps you are a very smart kid and you never experienced that kind of a problem. I hope you didn’t.

      2. i’m a december baby and it sucks that everyone’s birthday is before yours however when i graduated high school, i was able to say i graduated when i was 17!

  2. Congrats to Moses and Aimee and I am glad that they want a natural birth and will not try to pick a date and that superstitious stuff. Glad to know what the gender is and good luck to them!

    1. It’s funny how everyone say they want a natural birth at first. It might sound easy to say, but million times harder to do.

      1. True but at least they are not so superstitious to try to pick a time and date of birth and all. I find that so sad that many believe in that stuff so much and think that by doing so they can change the fate of their children. I think the date of birth is only valid if it is natural not artificial.

      2. both Aimee and Moses seem very westernize so I doubt they believe those old school superstitions

      3. Does ppl still do that? Maybe ppl in China does it and if they are doing a c-section. Who’s still into Chinese culture nowadays? I’m not and never was. My parents will be the last generation that can write, read and speak well in Chinese. And it’s normal in America.

  3. I saw the interview, she actually said “I’m happy with a boy because I want to be Moses’ only woman for a little while longer” (something along those lines anyway). She wasn’t referring to her son.

Nonetheless, very happy for her and Moses!

  4. She looks very slim and gorgeous as a 6+ month pregnant woman.

  5. she is def. small for six months, she will have 6 to 7lbs baby for sure.

  6. Wow… is she really doing promotional jobs while almost 7 months pregnant? I hope she didn’t return to Hong Kong just to make some extra cash 😛

I wanted to wrap my wife in bubble wrap as the date drew closer…. I’m told I was a little overprotective – lol.

And Tetuso – you can’t tell the size just by looking at the bump. From behind you’d never have known my wife was pregnant… and from the side she pretty much looked like Aimee did in the photo above. Once she had the child the doctor’s question to her was “Where were you hiding that boy!” It really depends how you carry the child… some carry more forward than others.

    1. Agree with bump size…some woman are naturally look smaller but does not always have a ‘lighter’ baby! Plus don’t forget the baby’s growth spurt from 8+months!

  7. Partly she also came back to milk some money out of her appearances. Her appearance fee reportedly shot up to hk200,000 from her previous hk50,000.
