Alec Su Crowned Winner of “Call Me by Fire 2”
With antics such as a stage wedding and even hair-shaving, popular Chinese talent show Call Me By Fire 2 <披荊斬棘2> saw high viewer interest, with 42 seasoned male celebrities from the region pushing their limits in challenges and facing off over a period of four months. Culminating in the finale episode on November 4, seventeen out of 22 remaining contestants emerged as members of the season’s boyband, while the champion title eventually went to singer Alec Su (蘇有朋)!

Delivering Little Tigers-era numbers such as Red Dragonfly <红蜻蜓> and Love <愛>, viewers even nicknamed him the “male version of Cyndi Wang (王心凌)”, referring to the wave of nostalgic memories the two stars ignited with their delivery of classic hits onscreen.
Making his debut as part of now-disbanded Taiwanese boy group Little Tigers (小虎隊), Alec later made the switch later to acting, launching his career after soaring to fame with the phenomenal hit My Fair Princess <還珠格格>. He also tried his hand at directing, helming 2015 film The Left Ear <左耳>.
Netizens: A Well-deserved Win
Winning over the approval of viewers, viewers felt that Alec proved himself able to grasp the rules of the competition quickly since the first episode, and was impressed by his leadership of how the team should progress throughout the show, seeking out many “brother” participants with quality traits to join in. His team’s performance was also consistently amongst the top three performing teams.
