Ali Lee Films for Malaysian Drama

After leaving TVB, Ali Lee (李佳芯) did not have a shortage of work. In addition to many commercial and brand sponsorship jobs, Ali will partner again with Who Wants a Baby (BB來了) costar, Lai Lok Yi (黎諾懿), in a new Malaysian drama. Scheduled to begin filming in July, the drama will have a total of 15 episodes and is anticipated for a December air date.

Ali will star as a “triad big sister,” which is a stark contrast from her typical roles. The story tells of the power struggle between the triad’s “big sister” and second-in-command. When asked about her new role, Ali responded, “I will do my best to portray all my roles well.”

As to how she feels about reuniting with Lai Lok Yi onscreen again, Ali said, “Actually, nothing is set in stone yet. We are in the very initial stage of things. When I find out more information, I will share it with everyone.”

With the exception of Ali and Lai Lok Yi, the rest of the drama’s cast consists of Malaysian artistes. The fresh cast may spark new chemistry for viewers.
