“Amidst a Snowstorm of Love” BTS Reveals Leo Wu is Shy Off Screen

Cementing his idol status after Love like the Galaxy <星漢燦爛> , Leo Wu Lei (吳磊) can currently be seen in Amidst a Snowstorm of Love <在暴雪時分>. Adding to the romantic atmosphere, the drama was filmed in Finland. Sharing strong sparks with costar Zhao Jinmai (趙今麥), Leo is actually quite shy offscreen in newly reveal behind-the-scenes footage.

Amidst a Snowstorm of Love is full of sweet moments. Leo and Zhao Jinmai’s characters shared their first kiss was on a rooftop after confirming their relationship. The drama also features several kissing scenes in front of the fridge and in bed, as well as a goodbye kiss through the car window.

Another memorable scene was when Leo’s character realized Zhao Jinmai’s character had feelings for him. While bandaging her foot injury, he stood up he saw two coffee beans on the table. He had chosen these coffee beans for her when they initially met and he did not expect her to secretly bring them home. Following him, she saw him standing in the kitchen thinking for a long time. Standing in front of the fridge, he drew closer and asked if the coffee beans were the same ones he had gifted her. At that point, they were nose to nose, the air full of romantic tension.

The crew released behind-the-scenes footage of the fridge scene. With his ears turning red, Leo was so hot that he needed a fan. He kept repeating he felt really shy after filming the scene and even opened the refrigerator door to hide behind it!

Despite Leo’s shyness, his acting skills conveyed a very confident onscreen presence impressing many viewers. Amidst a Snowstorm of Love is rated 9.1 on Weibo and is the highest-rated-idol drama since the introduction of a rating system on the platform. The results greatly surpass Zhao Lusi’s (趙露思) Hidden Love <偷偷藏不住>, which was rated 7.9.
