Andy Lau and Eddie Peng Star in New Movie
The Hong Kong film industry seems to be reviving itself after a lull due to the pandemic with many big budget films starting to film again. The industry’s biggest stars such as Andy Lau (劉德華), Aaron Kwok (郭富城), Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒) all have upcoming projects.
Spotted in Hong Kong, Eddie Peng (彭于晏) is said to be in preparation to start filming a new movie Bring in the Wine <將進酒>, co-starring Andy Lau (劉德華), Gordon Lam (林家棟), and Kevin Chu (朱鑑然). Directed by Jason Kwan (關智耀), the film will be action packed with Dion Lam (林迪安) and Chin Ka Lok (錢嘉樂) at the helm as the action choreographers.
Since he finished filming Crisis Route <危機航線> in Qingdao last year, Bring in the Wine will be Andy’s first project this year. The new movie will be the second time Andy, Gordon, and Eddie are working together since Cold War <寒戰>, so it will be exciting to see their chemistry again.
Since the easing of pandemic restrictions, the Four Heavenly Kings have been highly sought after to reinvigorate stagnant box office in Hong Kong. The following films will be filming in the latter half of the year: Jacky Cheung (張學友) and Nicholas Tse’s (謝霆鋒) War Customized <海關戰線>, and Aaron Kwok (郭富城) and Simon Yam’s (任達華) Insider <內幕>.
