Andy Lau Doesn’t Want to Talk About Wife’s Pregnancy

Recent photos of Andy Lau‘s (劉德華) wife, Carol Chu (朱麗倩), with a heavily protruding belly led to reports that she is already four months pregnant. Known for his intense privacy, Andy chose not to comment on Carol’s pregnancy.

Andy is known to take extreme measures to protect the privacy of his family. When his daughter was born in 2012, Andy only revealed a photograph of Hanna’s hands to his fans. Her features remained as a mystery until relentless reporters snapped photos of Hanna in April 2015.  Afterward, Andy officially introduced Hanna to his fan club members. However, Andy continued to hire multiple bodyguards and maximized his home security after Hanna was born.

Although Carol’s belly size made it obvious that she is beyond the first trimester in her pregnancy, Andy only answered cryptically. “I almost never respond to these rumors – thanks for your concern. It doesn’t matter if it is true or not, I won’t say anything. If it is true though, please check my website in the future. The truth will be revealed when I post something official on my website.”

As for fans’ speculations that Carol is carrying a boy this time due to the shape of her belly bump, Andy exclaimed, “Earlier reports back then said I liked men! If I were to have another baby in the future, congratulate me then.”
