Andy Lau, Huang Xiaoming’s “Trump Card v. Trump Card” Gets Christmas Release
The new Wong Jing (王晶) comedy Trump Card v. Trump Card <王牌逗王牌>, a co-production between Hong Kong and China, has recently completed its location shoot in Milan, Italy. It will be releasing in Mainland China on December 24, 2016.
The blockbuster movie follows the adventures of two unlikely heroes—a strange detective (Andy Lau 劉德華) and a sly thief (Huang Xiaoming 黃曉明)—who are forced to work with each other in order to save the world from a grave danger. It also stars Shen Teng (沈騰), Wong Cho-lam (王祖藍), Michelle Hu Ran (胡然), and Nana Ou-yang (歐陽娜娜).
Most of the film’s major scenes were shot in Milan, Italy, earlier this week. They also shot in the Milan Cathedral and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. An important action sequence was shot in the San Siro Stadium, home of the A.C. Milan football club.
The actors’ fashionable appearances in the movie coincided with the Milan Fashion Week, which was being held at the time of their filming. The crew reportedly attracted many onlookers while they were shooting their sequences. Andy has also attracted some fans from Hong Kong, who traveled to Milan just to get a glimpse of their idol.
But the beautiful outfits and scenery came at a cost. Andy, Xiaoming, and the rest of the crew had to film under zero degrees weather. Nonetheless, the cast remained professional. Andy insisted to arrive to set early so he could review the filming spots and the script. Xiaoming also remained dedicated, insisting to film a few extra camera shots for reference despite being cold.
