Angelababy Down with Pneumonia and Stomach Flu
While in Paris to attend Fashion Week last month, Angelababy became ill with pneumonia. She suddenly developed a fever and was given saline drips. Upon returning to Hong Kong and just when she was recovering from the bout of pneumonia, she suffered from stomach flu and a bad case of diarrhea. Despite her illnesses, Angelababy has to continue working.
Angelababy was summoned by the production company to head to Beijing to start on a new television drama. Fortunately, she is only required to attend meetings as well as costume fittings, and nothing too exerting until she has fully recovered. Angelababy’s manager, Kim, did not want to reveal too many details about the new project but did say that it is a modern production that is helmed by a famous director. Angelababy has already set aside several months to film the drama.
With her current situation, Angelababy shared her discomfort on Weibo, “What a double whammy! Previously, the fever was diagnosed as pneumonia. I was thinking, it’s only pneumonia, no big deal. After taking three days of antibiotics, it became stomach flu. Today I was asked to go to Beijing. With the foggy and hazy weather, how can I recover from the pneumonia? On the flight and car ride today, I dared not eat anything for fear of searching for toilets. When I reached the hotel, I ate a bowl of noodles and right away, and I needed the toilet. Sigh! I am soon giving up on myself!”
Many concerned fans left comforting words for Angelababy. However, boyfriend, Huang Xiaoming’s (黃曉明) public comfort was noticeably missing. Xiaoming is currently in Chengdu as a judge for the Chinese Idol <中国梦之声> singing competition and could not be by Angelababy’s side to take care of her.

pneumonia can be quite fatal if didn’t take care properly. Quite admire her that she still can work with her current condition.
She seems anorexia in the wheelchair pic, looking half dead. Is she recovering?

I can imagine. She’s a few pounds of being anorexic prior to this stomach flu.
Maybe if she wasn’t a starved waif she might have the ability to better fight these viruses. And continuing to work? Not wise. At some point you have to take care of yourself first.
Hoping she has a speedy recovery.
Hope she gets better. It took me about 3 months after I caught pneumonia to regain my strength.

The picture of her in the wheelchair really is concerning…for a second I thought it was a frail eldery D; I hope she gets better soon. She seems to be a mentally tough woman despite her petite fragile frame.

You are so right and pneumonia is can be really deadly if you do not treat it right. My mom had that and luckily we treated her in time or else I would not even know what would happen. It takes months to regain your strength back after recovering. She really needs to wake up before something really bad happens.
