Angelababy’s “Little Sponge” Makes First Appearance on “Running Man China”

Huang Xiaoming (黄晓明) and Angelababy’s infant son, Little Sponge (小海绵), has made his first public appearance on Running Man!

The fifth season of the variety game show, which is rebranded to Keep Running <奔跑吧>, premiered on April 14, 2017. Angelababy, who was once a regular member on the show, surprised the cast and viewers with a video appearance on the first episode, alongside her son Little Sponge, who was born in Hong Kong this past January.

Angelababy didn’t allow the cameras to show Little Sponge’s entire face, but it was enough to get fans excited and talking.

In the video, Angelababy reminisced her days on the show, and recalled some of her happiest memories with the Running Man family. She then apologized for not being able to take part in season 5, as she has to take on the new role as a mother.

“I’m not very good at it yet, and I’ll definitely need to learn more about childrearing from seniors like [Deng Chao],” said Angelababy. “I’ll bring Little Sponge along to play with you guys. Please don’t bully him!”

Angelababy also welcomed new cast member, Dilraba (迪丽热巴), into the family. “Don’t bully her too!” she said.
