Anita Yuen and Angie Cheong Guest Star on TVB Parenting Show
Hosted by Candice Yu (余安安), Mimi Lo (羅敏莊) and Grace Chan (陳凱琳), TVB’s new parenting show Daily Mom Talk <日日媽媽聲> kicked off filming on April 2. The program will have guests and celebrity moms discuss their parenting experiences while featuring topics such as 10 types of mothers, testing dads’ parenting abilities through games, sharing unique experiences of mothers across generations, and parenting styles from various countries.
In the first episode, Anita Yuen (袁詠儀), Johnny Tang (鄧兆尊) and Angie Cheong (張慧儀) were the guest stars. As newly appointed TVB Creative Director, Wong Cho Lam (王祖藍) also graced the show to lend his support.
Meeting Her Old Friend Mimi
Anita revealed that it had been 10 years since she last filmed at the station for All Star Glam Exam <华丽明星赛>, which was hosted by The Grasshopper (草蜢). Asked if she was busy earning her keep in China, the 49-year-old replied, “No such matter. Mainly it’s because I haven’t been drawn to any content in particular, but this show is really good.” Eric Tsang (曾志偉) had instructed Wong Cho Lam to invite Anita, who readily agreed as she had not seen Mimi for a long time.
Keen to Film Food & Leisure Programs
An acclaimed actress, Anita did not rule out future possibilities of working with TVB. Sharing many of her thoughts with the producer, she asked him to reach out to her if there are any suitable dramatic roles. “Acting is my favorite job, but it depends on a suitable theme and also the filming schedule as my health may not be able to adapt to the long filming hours.”
Anita also expressed keenness to film food and leisure programs to spread positive energy and happy vibes during the pandemic. Asked if her husband Chilam Cheung (張智霖) can make a joint appearance, Anita turned down the idea and said that they have starred in many variety shows together in China. “After all, I am a pretty woman and should have my own career. I hope he doesn’t stop me from taking my career further,” she joked.

I last saw Anita on Longmen Express. Such a quirky, fun series with lots of interesting guest stars. There’s supposed to be a sequel but who knows if that’s going to happen.
I haven’t seen Angie in so long. This Parenting show may be great if they continue to have guests like them.
