“Arthdal Chronicles 2: The Sword of Aramoon” Wraps Up Filming
Highly anticipated tvN South Korean drama Arthdal Chronicles 2: The Sword of Aramoon has finally wrapped up filming. The crew held a celebratory dinner and some videos from the party were shared on social media.
When Lee Jun Ki entered the room, the crew referred to him as the leader! He and Jang Dong Gun were seen standing shoulder-to-shoulder as they cut into a cake and blew out candles. Lee Jun Ki’s other hand lightly rested on Shin Se Kyung’s back. It looks like this second collaboration has strengthened the friendship among the cast.
Arthdal Chronicles 2: The Sword of Aramoon is a historical fantasy drama set during the Bronze Age in the fictitious land of Arthdal. Season 2 will depict what happens in Arthdal a decade after Ta Gon has become king. Ta Gon’s Kingdom of Arthdal and Eun Seom’s Ago Union will engage in a large-scale war.
Lee Jun Ki will be playing the adult version of Eun Seom, the ruler of the East which was previously portrayed by Song Joong Ki. Shin Se Kyung will play Tan Ya, the successor to the Wahan clan. Jang Dong Gun and Kim Ok Bin will reprise their roles as Ta Gon and Tae Al Ha respectively.
Producers hope the series will be released sometime this year. In the meantime, fans can preoccupy themselves with Netmarble’s video game adaptation, Arthdal Chronicles MMORPG, which is based on the first two seasons with an even more expansive mythical universe.
