Bai Lu and Wang Xingyue Team Up in “Tang Gong Qi An”

In upcoming costume drama Tang Gong Qi An <唐宮奇案>, Bai Lu (白鹿) and Wang Xingyue (王星越) collaborate to solve mysteries in the palace’s inner court. While fans may have to wait a little while for the drama’s premiere, they are treated to a sneak peek of the character designs.

Tang Gond Qi An is adapted from a web novel and follows the story of a cold-faced female guard and Grand Historian as they work together to investigate the mysterious death of a princess.

As the palace guard, Bai Lu’s outfits match the heroic and spirited character. The production team has released nine character outfits that foreshadow character’s talents in martial arts. Many of the costumes are embroidered with intricate gold while Bai Lu’s hair is styled with a high ponytail to highlight her serious demeanor. Despite her cold exterior, the character has a kind heart and gets entangled in a battle of wits with the murderer.

Meanwhile Wang Xingyue plays the Grand Historian and his styling is predominately based on the a white and blue color scheme. Among his character’s first look, netizens are captivated by a photo in which his hair is completely white while wearing a white robe. Wang Xingyue’s styling gives off an impression that the character is gentle and introverted, which is a contrast to the actor’s previous roles.

While Tang Gong Qi An is praised for its gorgeous cast, the drama’s supporting cast is not to be overlooked. Netizens are excited to see Dai Lu Wa (代露娃) appear as a guest star. Dai Luwa who was previously praised for her acting skills in Lost You Forever <長相思>, will be playing an imperial physician in the upcoming drama and will be supporting Bai Lu and Wang Xingyue in solving cases. Li Xin Ze ( 李欣泽) also joins the cast as Wang Xingyue’s subordinate and will play an important role.
