Beloved Taiwanese star Barbie Hsu (徐熙媛) left behind a multi-million-dollar fortune after her shock demise from pneumonia. According to latest talk, the issue of Barbie’s assets has been legally finalized, with Wang Xiaofei to manage the two children’s share of her assets!
Wang Xiaofei to Manage Minor’s Shares
Amid his grief, Barbie’s husband Koo Jun Yup (具俊曄) has expressed his wish to relinquish of all of Barbie’s assets to his mother-in-law, while her ex-husband Wang Xiaofei (汪小菲) is suspected to have made three trips to Taiwan for inheritance-related matters.
Sources said that discussions between Barbie’s family and Wang Xiaofei have gone smoothly. Meanwhile, a friend of Wang Xiaofei also confirmed that the matter has been settled according to legal procedures, with the assets to be shared equally between DJ Koo and Barbie’s children, whose share will be managed by Wang Xiaofei before the kids turn 18.
Barbie’s Mom: I’m Content As Long As Wang Xiaofei Takes Care of The Kids
Barbie’s mom, Huang Chunmei had expressed in an earlier post on social media, “I don’t believe justice can’t be sought, I’m going to war, please give me your support!” This evoked speculations about an inheritance feud. However, she appeared to have softened her attitude, and later said, “Let him have whatever he wants to snatch, I only miss my daughter. It’s enough if he brings up the kids well, I’m getting on in years and no longer have the energy,”
Meanwhile, Wang Xiaofei had been spotted making visits to Taiwan on two to three occasions after Barbie’s passing, and was most recently sighted at a temple in Taipei with his daughters on March 1. Local media reported that his eldest daughter held on to their stepmom Mandy Ma‘s (马筱梅) hand. Wang’s friend revealed that he has no plans to bring the kids, who are currently in Taiwan, back to Beijing, adding that he will prioritize the children’s welfare in future matters, the most important task being to share childcaring responsibilities with Mandy.

Although Barbie loved and trusted her husband, If it was me, I would have signed over what is for the children to Dee Hsu. Barbie and Dee looked out for each other.
I would not trust Wang Xiaofei to look after their inheritance even if he grew angel’s wings.

I seconded that Dee should have the children. No offend but I dislike Barbie’s mother, that lady is all about face! If it wasn’t for her meddling, her daughter would have a much better marriage life! And not marry this scumbag! It was her mother who pushed her into this marriage, n now, her mother not take up responsibilities of the kids! (Because she didn’t want to lose face if they have an all out war at the courthouse). I don’t think the ex love the kids, because if he does, he would not treat the children’s mother the way he did! If Xiao Xiaofei mismanage the kid’s inheritance, his kids can bring dad to court when they reach 18yrs. I hope he does not allow his current new wife and greedy mum to touch the kids’ money.
I dislike his mum immensely and do not trust this couple either. But I know Wang Xiaofei does love his kids.
