Bosco Wong Asks Press to Stop Harassing His Family
While Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) understands the recent public attention over his new relationship with model Vanessa Yeung (楊崢), he hopes that the media will exercise restraint when it comes to drilling his family members.
Bosco and Vanessa’s high-profile relationship has been the talk of the town and has generated much controversy over their age gap and Vanessa’s dating history. Although both are aware of the expected surge of attention due to their public figure status, local reporters may have overstepped their boundaries when they made repeated attempts to reach Bosco’s mother for comments.
Raised mainly by his mother after his parents’ divorce, Bosco is known to be a very filial son who loves his mother dearly. Working hard to give her a comfortable life, he has given his mother complete control over his finances and always consults her about any business investments. She also helps out occasionally at his newly launched oyster bar, personally handling the day-to-day operations to ensure its success.
After Bosco’s new love was exposed, many reporters began harassing his mother hoping to break exclusive details. Worried about her well-being, Bosco spoke up on February 11 asking the media to leave his mother alone. “She has high blood pressure so I don’t want her to receive too much shock. She was really scared when a reporter suddenly ran up to her to snap photos [at the oyster bar]. What if she faints? I hope everyone will stop before it goes too far.”
As for Vanessa’s intent to join TVB, Bosco expressed his support and has no problem portraying a couple on-screen with his real life love. “Our relationship is separate from our work. It will depend on the company’s plans, but it doesn’t matter because it’s just acting.”

he chose to be an artist then just accept that there is no privacy.dont blame the media because its their work to do so.
Oh please! He chose to be an artist, but his mom did not choose to be an artist. Reporters jobs are not to harass and scare people. Their job is to gather & research through consented interviews and report accurate and true events. Reporters need to follow work conduct as they are professional themselves not some barbarian who goes out to harass people for information.
We are talking about paps here, not reporters.
Paparazzi + reporter = media.
And if we are going by definition (courtesy of wikipedia), paparazzi actually refers to a freelance photographer who pursues celebrities to get photographs of them. So although a paparazzi takes a picture, the content is made up by reporters or sold to magazines/newspapers for profit.
So what, paps job is to go and harrass artists’ family members? Reporters or paps, their job may be to dig out and find info and capture pictures of artists/celebrities, but their family members should not be in the media or be chased after for unwanted interviews.
They werent the ones who signed up for the media attention and privacy invasion, it’s unfair to them having to go through it even if their son, daughter, sister or brother etc. is in the entertainment industry. Artists’ would never be able to escape the privacy invasion with the fame they receive, but I believe going after their family members is pushing it too far (like they haven’t done so already to the artist alone most of the time …lol)

I am frankly aware of that his mom isn’t an artiste and doesn’t deserve this from reporters.
My point of my post is to note that there are differences between reporters and paparazzi (photographers) and not to associate them in the same category. Their jobs and responsibilities may be different. Eg. Once the paparazzi or photographer has taken a photograph, it’s up to the reporter to make it into a news article.. But the final say goes to the editor.. Or if the paparazzi (aka photographer) isn’t unaffiliated with any magazines or media outlet, then he/she may sell the photos they took to sell..
I’m not saying that it’s perfectly okay, suitable to go after family members and harass/bother them like there’s no tomorrow. just to do their job.
His mum does not deserved to be harassed because he is an artist.
I saw the interview video, he said pap can harassed him but should respect the privacy of his mum and he is worried about her well being. Good on him for being filial.
Totally agree with Puff that it is he that is the celeb not his mom. They should leave his mom and family alone. They are really crossing the line when they harass his family like that,especially when it is an elder with health problems.

vanessa is riding on boscos fame,the timing that she enters tvb is just too suspicious.i think she is just using him as a stepstone.
