Bosco Wong Doesn’t Mind Girlfriend is 9 Years Older Than Him
Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) and Vanessa Yeung’s (楊崢) new romance has been the talk of the town. Not only has the couple received blessings and support on their relationship, they have also been given the seal of approval by their families and close friends. The couple has reportedly been dating for three months before their relationship was made public this week.
Last night, Bosco treated his good friends Michael Miu (苗僑偉) and his wife Jaime Chik (戚美珍), Tang Chi Wai (鄧智偉), and TVB management executive Virginia Lok (樂易玲) to a dinner at his oyster bar in Kowloon. After their meal, Bosco and Jaime exited the restaurant and went upstairs for drinks. Michael and Ms. Lok soon followed. They friendlily greeted the press, and Michael also joked that Bosco was going to get married soon, saying, “We’re now going to discuss the biggest event of his life!” Ms. Lok then added that she is very happy for Bosco and Vanessa.
Currently in the midst of shooting his new TVB drama, the press met up with Bosco the next day at the TVB studios and asked if he was really preparing for the biggest event of his life like what Michael claimed. Bosco clarified, “No! No, Michael was being a bad kid and babbles too much. He was just joking! I currently have no plans for marriage.”
Recent reports alleged that Vanessa, who was reported earlier to be 38 years old, may actually be 42 years old instead. This makes almost nine years older than Bosco, who was born in 1980. When reporters pointed out that their ages are far apart, Bosco said, “When two people are dating, I don’t think age should be the focus. If we don’t think it’s a problem, others shouldn’t be bothered by it. We are not concerned about this.”
Bosco added that he does not feel that they share a generation gap, expressing that strong communication is important in maintaining a relationship. “How I see her in my heart is the most important.”
Is Bosco not worried that Vanessa would be too old to have children? “Already? You guys are even thinking farther ahead than me! Age is not a concern. I don’t need to give any explanation.”
Bosco was not bothered by the exposure of his kissing photo with Vanessa, which revealed their relationship to the public. “I didn’t even notice that we were being photographed. I am just a normal person doing normal things. I’m not a saint. I’m an ordinary person. It’s not necessary for everyone to give us so much high-profile attention. Please give us more space to develop slowly!”

Just because someone does not give a good first impression does not mean that they are bad. I have known people who gave excellent first impressions,but in the end turned out to be horrible people,while some who gave bad first impressions actually end up being really great people. First impressions are not always accurate,especially if it us towards a public figure or someone that you do not even know personally.
So it turns out Kenneth Ma is not the only one who likes older women. Bosco does as well!

While this is a surprising news all I can say is to give them blessings? Well ok I’m happy that Bosco found new love but I’m also still skeptical of how long this can last. They are in love clouds now the issue of marriage comes up, for sure his friends and relatives will give pressure to him about her ability to give birth to a healthy child. Age gaps are not a deterrent for having happy and healthy relationships, but age gaps do change a couple’s situation sometimes. Things such as family expectations, plans for a future, health concerns, or social circles are always affected. I hope it works out for them! I know from experience that it can =)
Good points and yes age gaps can affect all of those factors that you mentioned. But it really varies and depends on what stage each person is in their life.

When Bosco started dating Myolie, he was only in his mid 20s and both Myolie’s and Bosco’s careers were not yet established. Of course they wanted to keep their love life privately. Bosco is now a mature man, with his own business and established career, it is understandable that he wants to let the public know of his love life.

Well sad Lux! I still do not get why Myolie won for that role. I think her acting is ok,but her other performances were way better than the one in that series. But this is TVB here where awards are often given to the ones who do not deserve it. I am not only saying in Myolie’s case but in many other cases too.

The question of whether or not she can still have kids at her age is pretty reasonable I think. If a guy dates anyone over 40, I doubt having kids is anywhere in his mind. Love aside, but if you are dating someone in that age group, it must be across his mind that having kids might be an issue so if he decided to go public w/it, i am sure he already thought of that. He probably don’t want kids or the g/f.
Not really since many women are giving kids in their 40s. Fann Wong who us 42 going on 43 and she is currently pregnant. She claims the child is healthy so far. My mom had my youngest brother at 42 and he is now an eye doctor. Therefore, it really varies.

I don’t know who Fann Wong is and good to know you always seem to have so many real life situations you can always point out and say it varies. I am saying statistically as scientists will think that women will and do have a bigger issue w/having kids at a later stage in their life, that’s why ppl call it their biological clock is ticking. One of the reasons men picks younger women as a wife is b/c the younger they are the higher the chance they can still have kids. Yes, who knows whether or not these people want to have kids but in general if a guy dates a women over 40, the thought of kids must pop up in his mind before making any kind of public announcement. But w/the artificial inseminations and rich celebs of course, the option of having kids these days have vastly improved since the older days that’s why there are still women who are having kids at a later age in life.

If they ended on bad terms it is a lot harder to get back together again. I think Andy and Sammi ended on good terms so are more likely to get back together again.

To be fair, when Bosco and myolie dated Bosco seemed like he wanted to admit the relationship moreso than myolie. He would hint and sometimes say too much. Just because they’re dating, does not mean they plan to get married and have kids – not everybody wants kids. They might just want to have fun and enjoy their time together. You have to ‘invest’ a certain amount of time to find out if they are right life partner. Some find it sooner than others. It’s very early days yet…time will tell if they are ready to move to next steps. Whatever happens, as long as they’re happy! Good luck I say!

i watched vanessa yeung hosted a foodie show & some travel. from that show, i can conclude that she does have very good taste not too sure whether it’s expensive or not like appreciating wines (she knows wines very well), she spoke that she always indulge herself in good food, spa etc. hopefully they can last long, no one can
Obviously Boscoe and Vanessa have many interests in common, like eating good food and perhaps tasting fine wines together. Besides, she seems to be of great help in his recent business, so, they have lots to talk about and that’s very important in any relationship and the big gap in age seems not to matter.
