Bosco Wong Replaces Pakho Chau in “Forensic Heroes 5”

After four successful installments, Forensic Heroes 5 <法證先鋒V> will begin filming in October. Pakho Chau (周柏豪) and Priscilla Wong (黃翠如) were originally cast in the drama, but they stepped down due to scheduling conflicts and personal reasons. As Forensic Heroes 5 is a collaboration with a Chinese platform, Eric Tsang (曾志偉) invited Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) to headline the drama.

Priscilla has already been absent from various promotional events for personal reasons, while Pakho wants to focus on his upcoming concert and family. Given that Forensic Heroes 5 would film until the Lunar New Year, the pair stepped down from their roles.

With the changes in policies and restrictions within the Chinese entertainment industry, TVB has been careful about their new role selections for the drama. Aside from Bosco, the cast will feature Jacky Cai <蔡潔>, Benjamin Yuen (袁偉豪), Sisley Choi (蔡思貝), Tony Hung <洪永城>, and Venus Wong <王敏奕>.  

Similar to the previous installments, Forensic Heroes 5 will feature various mystery cases. Bosco and Jacky will be taking on the roles of forensic examiners, while Benjamin and Venus will portray police officers. Tony will be playing a doctor, while Sisley’s role will link the various characters together. 

Given that it has been four years since Bosco last filmed a drama with TVB, he exclaimed, “The last TVB drama I filmed was Heart and Greed 3 <溏心風暴3>. I have already read over 10 episodes of the script, and I think [Forensic Heroes 5] will be amazing!” Asked about his scuba diving scenes, he said, “I’m just not licensed, but I have scuba dived in the past. It shouldn’t be too much of a problem.” 

Sisley Choi and Tony Hung Will Have a Relationship Line

Although Sisley is still busy filming ICAC Attack <廉政狙擊>, she looks forward to filming Forensic Heroes 5 as she has already worked with the cast members previously. With little rest in her hectic filming schedule, Sisley developed hives earlier but has already sought out medical help to cure her skin sensitivities.  

Commenting on her romantic arc with Tony, Sisley said they are close friends in real life. “This is the first time we have ever collaborated. I’m glad he is very fast on his feet and eager to learn. Both our characters really contrast from our real personalities, so it is something to look forward to.” 

Playing a rogue doctor, Tony plans to grow a beard to match his character. “There is no professionalism surrounding my role, so there is a lot I can do with it. Since Sisley and I are good friends, I believe we can create good fireworks.” 

Benjamin Yuen Portrays an Insomniac Cop

Portraying a police officer who suffers from insomnia, Benjamin has already been eating clean and cutting down on his calories to look more lead on camera. Working with Bosco again, Benjamin commented, “The last time we filmed together was in A Change of Heart <好心作怪>. I really hope that after seven to eight years, we can create new chemistry together.”
