Breakdown of Candy Yuen’s Relationship With Ex

In April, former Category-III film star Candy Yuen (袁嘉敏) called out esports tycoon Derek Chung (鍾培生) for his despicable behavior. Although she declined to elaborate, more details of their relationship have surfaced.

It is said that Derek and Candy started dating last year and she had become his closest confidant, acting as his advisor during the setup of his boxing match with Joseph Lam (林作). She would often spend the night in the Chung family residence as well, but he kept their relationship under wraps.

On the other hand, Derek continued to see different women including Come Home Love: Lo and Behold <愛．回家之開心速遞> star, Sophie Yip (葉蒨文), which angered Candy.

When reached for a comment, Sophie admitted to having known Derek for many years and believes that the rumors stem from her attending the Yan Chai Hospital Gala Dinner. “He didn’t bring me as his date though, we attended in a group. It was a normal gathering.”

Candy expressed that the breakdown of her relationship with Derek was not due to other women. Although it was said Derek gave her financial support amounting to over HK$1,000,000, Candy claimed that she only received a small amount of financial assistance which was not worth mentioning.
