Brian Chu Shares Reason Behind Breakup with Stitch Yu
Dating for two years, Brian Chu (朱敏瀚) and Stitch Yu (余思霆) announced they have amicably split. Although both are reluctant to let go of the relationship, they mutually decided it is the best option for them.
While promoting his new drama Your Highness <痞子殿下>, Brian’s mood did not seem to be affected by his recent breakup. He was seen joking with Kalok Chow (周嘉洛), Jeannie Chan (陳瀅), and JW (王灝兒). Since the cast became close during filming, Brian had actually notified them of his breakup before he went public with the news.
Kalok felt guilty for not giving more support, but Brian understands the actor’s hectic filming on the set of several dramas which has resulted in Kalok not sleeping for three, four days. Brian knows the perfect way for Kalok to make up for his actions, “He has money, so I’m going to ask him to treat me to dinner!”
Confirming that his emotions are stable, Brian said the main reason for the breakup was the pandemic and there was no third party involved. With Stitch working in Taiwan for two years, they had maintained a long-distance relationship for almost two years and were only able to see each other in person for two weeks. Still friends, Brian explained “it was a mutual decision that was reached after discussion. We were mature about it and didn’t argue during this time” Although Brian is reluctant over the breakup, he tries to embrace it positively as a new start for both of them.
When it was pointed out that Stitch had immediately uploaded a sexy photo of herself on the day of their breakup announcement. Brian immediately defended her, clarifying that she usually updates her social media every Wednesday. Her account is also jointly managed by her team.
Although Stitch will return to Hong Kong in September, Brian will meet up as friends as they are “both busy with work” and want to focus on their work for now.

I think it’s a “break” instead of a break up. Brian previously said he wants to marry Stitch. They have been doing long distance for 2 years and she’s returning to HK in September, which is in a month. He’s becoming very successful, perhaps even overrated, while she, well, is learning Cantonese….
It sounds more like she’s lost interest in him, and is steering to more well-off dudes…………She’s certainly got the body-assets to lure the rich boys.
