Cast for TVB’s Latest Drama “7 Princesses” Revealed
With filming for upcoming TVB drama 7 Princesses <七公主> (literal translation) to commence next month, the media managed to get their hands on the list of cast members. It is said that the seven princesses will be portrayed by both the newer and older generation of goddesses – actresses who TVB is currently heavily promoting.
Reportedly, Priscilla Wong (黃翠如), Rosina Lam (林夏薇), Samantha Ko (高海寧), Kaman Kong (江嘉敏), Moon Lau (劉佩玥), Judy Kwong (鄺潔楹), and Hera Chan (陳曉華) are cast as the seven princesses. Although one might expect seven handsome princes to couple up with these princesses, there are no princes in the storyline. However, the male actors known to be participating in the drama include Tsui Wing (徐榮), Timothy Cheng (鄭子誠), and Billy Luk (陸永).
According to sources, all the characters in 7 Princesses were created with the main leads in mind. In the drama, Priscilla’s character is a lawyer. She expressed in an interview, “The role is quite challenging, and I am thankful to the producer for offering me this opportunity mid-last year. I look forward to portraying this character because she is a very clever and ruthless lawyer. It’s very different from my past roles of softer characters.”
She added that she has many court scenes, so she’d have to deliver her lines accurately. “To study for this role, I’ve been watching several legal movies and dramas to learn how to perform my role better,” Priscilla shared.
The actress revealed she has never worked with Tsui Wing, Timothy, and Billy in the past. However, if she had to choose a romantic interest for the series, she said, “I’d definitely pick Billy! I consider him as my family, so it would be pretty funny if we were to play a couple.”
It would also be her first time collaborating with Samantha and Rosina. “Since the three of our roles are so different, I think it’d be quite entertaining to watch,” Priscilla expressed.
Samantha portrays a very bold and manly driver in the series. “This character is very crude, so I have to cut my hair extremely short to suit the role. I’ll also have to wrap my breasts tightly and wear loose clothes. I am also currently working on speaking loudly and roughly,” Samantha said.
Regarding the possibility of gossip arising while working with such a large cast of women, Samantha said she is not afraid as she is a sociable person. The actress also already knows all of them through other projects and events. Like Priscilla, Samantha hopes she’d be paired up with Billy because they might be able to create some new chemistry together.
On the contrary, Rosina, who plays a manager in 7 Princesses, chose Tsui Wing as her desired male partner. She shared, “I am the closest to Tsui Wing because we went to Macau together to film Burning Hands <乘勝狙擊> before.”
Rosina is also not afraid of gossip, as she believes it’s important to focus and just do her best. “This character attracts me because I never tried it before. She has huge mood swings, so it’s going to be quite an emotional challenge,” Rosina shared.

Wait what. Billy played Priscilla’s brother in Two Steps from Heaven. Article is wrong?
Oh gee I hope the script makes up for the lack of acting capabilities of this group
In my opinion if there’s seven ladies in this drama they could have remake the old drama called seven sisters? I agree they need a good looking guy in this drama with these ladies. Him Law, William Chak, Owen Cheung, Vincent Wong, Matt Yeung, Oscar Leung, Joey Law and Yeung Chiu Hoi? I think it’s not a bad choice?
It’s too late to be April fools joke, these must the pauper “princesse” are we sure this isn’t a sequel hand maid alliance, that would be perfectly casted.
When I hear “7 Princesses”, I was expecting an ancient comedy drama with a clichéd “Taming of the Shrew” plot where the emperor has a huge headache trying to marry off his seven spoiled daughters. LOL~
