Cecilia Cheung’s Car Hit 66-Year-Old Man?

At 2:30 PM on March 30th, Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi allegedly drove her private car at the roundabout at South Bay Road and hit a 66-year-old man. The man sustained serious injuries in his lower extremities and was ambulanced to Queen Mary Hospital for treatment.

According to the Hong Kong Police Public Relations Bureau, the driver’s surname was Cheung and was born in 1980. The driver’s license plate was TR6XX7. The 66-year-old man had a fracture in his left foot and was in stable condition. A breathalyzer test was conducted and no one was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. The Police was still investigating further details of the accident.

Reporters contacted Cecilia’s assistant, but did not receive any response yet. Nicholas Tse Ting Fung’s assistant claimed he was unaware of the situation.

  1. Wow, hope the man will be okay! I’m sure the police will need to investigate further before we can speculate anything…it doesn’t seem like a hit and run, which would be more serious.

  2. I wonder if Cecilia was the one that was driving the car? Regardless if was her or not, I hope that man will be ok. I also hope that it wasn’t a hit and run accident or else she may be convicted or whomever was driving. Didn’t her husband suffer a case similar to this before if I remember correctly??? If so, I really hope that she handles this situation well so that history does not repeat itself.

    1. ”seems to me hk is very much like mainland now, body parts are cheap… i mean compensation?? to a crippy every cent count, would a common man fight with
      no resources, ore even complaint

  3. Hope the old man will be ok and recover soon.

What a strange was for police to give out information. I can understand giving out the surname only, but, the birth year?

  4. If not her, then who was driving? Could be the old man’s fault.

    1. how many actor/actress go to jail, reality is pale… how many high tax payers go to jail, tax might be more important to the…. ?? What does the ICAC do these days??

      1. This really reminds me of the old days when they say that even when a king commits a crime, he will incur the same punishments that a commoner will.. Yea right!!! That is NOT the case and we can now see it with these celebs in comparison to the normal commoner.

  5. If she was really the drive behind the wheel, hope the law will be fair to the injured man and punish her the same way as if she was an ordinary citizen. HK’s laws are so bloody stupid and unfair in that there is always some form of prejudice and lenient treatment on celebrities. They do not deserve any form of leniency and should be treated the same way.

    1. I think that wouldn’t be a problem since Nic himself went through the same thing.

However as every accident or traffic collision out there, it may not be 100% fault of the driver.

      1. one would be glad about Cecila not doing a runner, this shows she is a better lady than her half. I doubt justice would be serve, or will there be some justice to carm our frustration over the sentense for her partners wrong do in mu opinion.
..kama or just carelessness privillaged could get away with things!!?

      2. whoevers fault is that whats done is done,
did the man live to tell the tale, or is he dead, or was the man involve really the man who got crushed or something,
if one could afford a car, one should service it, and be responsible for that car? how does the story go, or will it be faded like many topics?

    2. Agree with Funn. The police didn’t book anyone for drunk driving. So, he/she might not have been driving irresponsibly. He/she also didn’t hit and run.

      1. Why the secrecy eh? If it was you and I, our name will be big in bold printed but when a celebrity car is involved, somehow not much revealed by the police.

So true, but that’s how the world works.. If the person has ‘fame’ on their side then the law will bend for them… It sucks

  6. they won’t make a case out of it. that old man will be silenced by her infamous triad father. even the police dare not to reveal much and protect her identity. no one wants to wake up and see their own dismembered lower limbs.
