Celebrity Weddings: Grace Ip and Eric Kwok

Hong Kong pop singer, Grace Ip (葉佩雯), and ex-Swing member, Eric Kwok (郭偉亮), held a star-studded wedding banquet on November 23, 2012, inviting over 300 Hong Kong singers and actors. Grace and Eric has been dating for over 11 years before registering their marriage in front of 8,000 fans at the Hong Kong Coliseum on November 23, 2011, the night of Swing’s last farewell concert.

It was as if Grace and Eric’s wedding banquet was a red carpet event. Numerous famous Hong Kong stars attended in trendy dresses, becoming one of the hottest media attractions of the night. Among the stars that attended the banquet were Gigi Leung (梁詠琪), Karen Mok (莫文蔚), Jan Lamb (林海峰), Hacken Lee (李克勤), Deborah Lee (狄波拉),Patrick Tse (謝賢), Wyman Wong (黃偉文), Kary Ng (吳雨霏), pop band Mr.Annie Liu (劉心悠), Ella Koon (官恩娜), and Daniel Wu (吳彥祖).

Due to Grace and Eric’s close relationship with EEG, EEG stars Charlene Choi (蔡卓妍),William Chan (陳偉霆), Yumiko Cheng (鄭希怡), and EEG chairman, Albert Yeung (楊受成) were also invited. Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒) was also given an invitation, but he was unable to attend the banquet due to work obligations. Nicholas’ ex-wife, Cecilia Cheung (張柏芝), was also invited, but was missing in action.

On the morning of the wedding banquet, good friends, Eason Chan (陳奕迅), Edmond Leung (梁漢文), Wilfred Lau (劉浩龍), and fellow Swing band member, Jerald Chan (陳哲廬), formed a band to welcome Grace and Eric in a traditional-style wedding ceremony. The singers were unfamiliar with the Chinese instruments, and created much havoc for all the ears of the guests!

Eric humorously revealed that he never officially ended his bachelor’s party the night before, and was afraid that his party would attract the media’s attention all night. The musician also revealed that he hastily wrote a cheesy song to commemorate their 12-year anniversary together, and Grace hoped that the song would never make it to the public.

  2. are those their wedding photos?! they are too artistic for me! I found them to be dark, solemn and sad bordering on morbid! it does not conjure up romance, happiness or love.
