Charmaine Sheh Enjoys Filming in Malaysia
Busy filming the anticipated production Modern Dynasty 2 <家族榮耀之繼承者> in Malaysia, actress Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) is also having fun with her co-stars!
The refreshed cast of the sequel to the popular 30-episode drama aired in 2022 comprises Charmaine, Raymond Lam (林峯), Venus Wong (王敏奕), Jeannie Chan (陳瀅) and Him Law (罗子溢), as well as veterans like Benz Hui (許紹雄), Gallen Lo (羅嘉良), Candice Yu (余安安).
Charmaine plays Benz’s daughter, while Raymond plays a lawyer and her ally in the family battle; Him will continue his antagonistic streak as the main villain. The drama continues delving into the mudslinging of the modern business world, helmed by director Ching-Shing Choy (蔡晶盛) who was behind the likes of A Step into The Past <尋秦記> and Twin of Brothers <大唐雙龍傳>.
Charmaine & Raymond Play Chef
Besides giving treats to the cast and crew as per her generous nature, Charmaine indulged in the king of fruits – durian. Playing tourists in the tropical Southeast Asian country, the actress led everyone to savour street foods at the local markets! Seen showing off her cooking skills at a local hawker stall, she challenged herself to frying a classic noodle dish known as Char Kway Teow.
Pictured holding an oyster sauce bottle in her left hand and the ladle in her right, Charmaine looked tired out by the strong stir-fry motions required, before thanking the boss for the hard work while handing the spatula back to him simultaneously in a hilarious move. Raymond too joined in the fun, oozing charisma as a cooking pro when he plated the noodles expertly, which earned him praise from netizens.
Charmaine had previously revealed that the chance to work with Raymond is one of her strongest motivations for taking on Modern Dynasty 2, while fans and viewers are naturally excited as the drama marks two’s long-awaited onscreen collaboration since their memorable roles as “Ding Jeh” and “Bao Seed” in the Line Walker <使徒行者> series.
Venus and Jeannie Get Sporty
Despite sharing that she indulged in a lot of good food this time, Venus did not put on weight as she has been diligently working out. “The production crew and cast are getting along very well, we are a very happy team. All the actors love food and would meet up for good food whenever we have free time! I haven’t gained weight and even feel fit as I’d head to the gym the whole day, now I’m doing an hour of exercise on average each day,”
Jeannie, who shared photos and footage of herself horseriding, also looks to have slimmed down considerably. The two took the time out to visit a few attractions.
