Charmaine Sheh is the Godmother to 8 Babies
At the recent opening of a new bar in Lan Kwai Fong, Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) was photographed drinking with friends and becoming so inebriated that she had to be supported by two men when she eventually left the venue.
Charmaine later confirmed that she did in fact get drunk, and admitted that she is a lightweight when it comes to alcohol but that did not stop her from following the philosophy, “Work hard, play hard!”
She said, “As the bar was owned by a friend, I went to support my friend…and no I did not faint, I could still walk out of the place.”
On the two men who helped her out, Charmaine said, “They are such gentlemen!” She then denied rumors that she had subsequently sent flirty texts to the two men.
Many of Charmaine’s friends have married and given birth to children over the past few years. The 40-year-old expressed that she was very happy for her friends and said, “As for me, I’ll leave it up to fate. It’s most important to be happy and content in life, and I am very happy right now.”
Responding to rumors that she had consulted a Buddhist priest asking for a better love life, Charmaine said, “That is old news! To me, Buddhism is a faith, and I have only asked the priest for his teachings. Everything else is up to myself, as long as I don’t obsess over it. “As for whether Charmaine’s friends have been introducing any eligible bachelors to her, she laughed and said, “They are all on hiatus as they just had babies!”
Charmaine added that she is now godmother to eight babies. On whether she wished to get married and mother a child, Charmaine said, “I’ll take it one step at a time. We’ll let nature take its course!”
When asked if she plans to freeze her eggs like Michelle Ye (葉璇) had considered to allow conception later in life, Charmaine gave a non-committal answer and only said, “Let nature take its course!”
