Charmaine Sheh Juggles Schedule for TVB Anniversary Awards
After the successful airing of The Queen of News <新聞女王>, Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼), Samantha Ko (高海寧) and Regina Ho (何依婷) have seen their popularity reach new height. In addition to gaining a large number of fans in Mainland China, the three actresses are fully booked with endorsement projects. In particular, Charmaine’s is so busy that she has to make time to attend TVB Anniversary Awards in person.
Charmaine is reportedly invited to China’s Award Ceremony on January 13th where she will be stepping out on the red carpet with some of China’s biggest stars including Wang Yibo (王一博)、Yang Zi (楊紫)、Liu Yifei (劉亦菲), and Yang Mi (楊冪). The following day after, Charmaine is scheduled to attend TVB Anniversary Awards as one of the top favorites to win TVB Queen. However, due to scheduling conflict in China, Charmaine is now actively reworking her schedule so she can fly back to Hong Kong.
While Charmaine’s schedule is jam packed, the actress shows no signs of slowing down. A few days ago, Charmaine shot an advertisement for a makeup and skin care brand in which netizens praised Charmaine for looking like she is in her 20’s. Charmaine reveals that the secret to her youth is that she often drinks honey water during her long filming period while being diligent in maintaining her skincare routine.
Samantha Ko Keeps Busy in 2024
While Samantha made a breakthrough in China television through 2020’s drama Nothing But Thirty <三十而已>, the actress is finally gaining recognition by the China’s audience. In an interview, Samantha admitted that she has been busy working nonstop and shares, “I am so happy that I got a new opportunity after starring in Queen of News. I have been flying non-stop for the past two months. I really have not rested, but I am enjoying this. I am so happy that I can regain my confidence.”
In 2024, Samantha will be filming a new drama Wulin <武林> and she will be having fight scenes with Kalok Chow (周嘉洛), Ricco Ng (吳偉豪), Kaman Kong (江嘉敏) and Judy Kwong (鄺潔楹). Samantha added, “In 2024, my next two months are already booked and there are still a lot more projects lined up. I never try to limit myself so I want to try singing and dancing.”
Outside of acting, Samantha will lending her voice in a map app which came with a substantial salary. The actress was ecstatic by her new project and shared the news on her social media; “I will accompany you when you drive in the future!” Samantha, who was previously praised for her Mandarin pronunciation, will be using her Cantonese and Mandarin skills to help fans navigate.
Regina Ho Signs Advertisement Deals in China
Regina, who was praised for her role in The Queen of News, has seen her acting skills improve rapidly. With her increased popularity, the actress has signed on to a variety of endorsement projects in China.
Regina shared, “I finally have the opportunity to go back to China to work. There are advertisement projects for skin care and cosmetic products. I even filmed a cat food advertisement. I am so happy. There are really a lot of job opportunities.”
