Charmaine Sheh Was Injured While Filming “The Queen of News”

Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) recently wrapped up filming for The Queen of News <新聞女王>.  A prolific actress, Charmaine is known for her strong work ethics and giving it her all. She does not use a stunt double for many of her actions scenes, which has led to chronic injuries to her neck and lower back.

Charmaine was hurt again while filming for The Queen of News. As a news anchor, her character wanted to cover a breaking story over a robbery in San Po Kong. She ran with Shaun Tam (譚俊彥) through a hail of gunfire while carrying a heavy camcorder. It was drizzling that day, and the scene was filmed using real guns so the atmosphere was tense. Her facial expressions were extremely convincing as she rolled to the ground. While running, Charmaine injured her foot and had to wear a brace to work.

Immediately after filming The Queen of News, Charmaine started work on Modern Dynasty 2 <家族榮耀之繼承者> with Raymond Lam (林峯) in Malaysia. Although Raymond was unable to attend the blessing ceremony earlier, he was seen with Charmaine yesterday filming at a restaurant. Raymond appeared to have slimmed down for his role, dropping several pounds and looking his usual handsome self.
