Christine Kuo Strikes It Rich With Aaron Kwok Rumors
Since the breakup scandal of Aaron Kwok (郭富城) and Lynn Hung (熊黛林) surfaced, the suspected third party, Christine Kuo (苟芸慧) has been on featured in many magazines and newspapers headlines. Even though Christine claimed that she had nothing to do with Aaron and Lynn’s split, she has been getting an increase in publicity which also lined her pockets deeply.
Aaron/Lynn Split: Possible Sabotage by Aaron’s manager
A recent rumor accused Aaron’s manager Siu Mei (小美) of sabotaging his relationship with Lynn. Siu Mei never liked Lynn and after meeting Christine during the commercial collaboration, Siu Mei allegedly decided to get rid of Lynn once and for all, by arranging for Christine to attend Aaron’s concert as a VIP.
Siu Mei states that she dislikes Lynn only because the supermodel is using Aaron as a stepping-stone for fame. Ironically, reports uncovered that Siu Mei has been relying on Aaron’s commission as a source of income for investing activities all along, so perhaps her interference was for personal reasons.
Christine’s New Found Wealth
Christine was spotted at a bank in a Causeway Bay mall earlier this week. It is reported that she has over $1 million HKD in the account, securing the title of Little Miss Wealthy. After the bank visit, she appeared to be in a great mood and continued her shopping trip.
When asked about her new wealth and becoming Aaron’s new girlfriend, Christine awkwardly fumbled. Christine said that she was shopping and will meet with Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) to go shoe shopping later. However, Christine later explained that the bank account belongs to her father.
While still being pursued by the paparazzi about becoming Aaron’s future girlfriend, Christine seemed reluctant to speak more about the topic and instead added, “I’m more focused on my development with TVB rather than with Aaron! Work comes first!”

That was a while ago, when Christine was around 12. They then moved to live in Taiwan when Christine was about 18 or 19, and left their children to struggle by themselves in Toronto. I believe that they are now back to Toronto since Christine is making good money in Hong Kong to support them.

Well considering the amount mentioned isnt much, yes it might be her father’s money. And if that is the pop’s money, then yes she does need to support them since the amount really isnt much to consider rich especially if both her parents arent working.
I do find it strange that Christine only has the mentioned amount in her bank account and has to support her family in Canada. It is expensive to live in Canada, and food, clothing and housing does not come cheap. Medical and dental is so expensive too. This money is in HK dollars. It would take that much for her family to live off of for only a couple of months when converted to Canadian dollar amount for expenses. That is why I find the whole thing strange. TVB better start giving CK a lot of work or she really will have to find an old rich man,lol.

You are over exaggerating with how high the standard of living is in Canada. Sorry but it does not take a million dollars hkd to last a couple of months. Medical is free in Canada, or you can buy insurance that is quite affordable that covers the medicine. Dental insurance is also affordable. You can google it. Housing, food and clothing all depends how well you eat, live and dress. But it still won’t cost you $125 000 Canadian dollars for 2 months. So over aggerated. If it costs 1 million hkd to survive in Canada, I bet you over 95% of the people in Canada will die. Some middle class don’t even make half that in a WHOLE year.
Yeah, it ain’t that bad for us here. 100k for savings is stretching it but they can last. Canada is NOTHING compared to the cost of living in NYC. My cousin lives in NY, the 1200 sq ft apartment (condo) was almost half a million after re-construction, new furniture and etc. But it’s an excellent neighborhood, I am sure other real estates cost less depending on the area. Half a million dollars here, I can buy a nice house with a couple of floors.
Canada came in second to Hong Kong as the most expensive place to live. It is a pretty expensive country to live TESS, and getting more expensive every day. Do not insult the millions of Canadians who are struggling every day to pay for their medical plan, the millions who are waiting on surgeries that they cannot afford. @TESS, who told you that Canada has free medical? Please, give me a break. If you don’t like Rose, that is okay, but to contradict what Rose said was wrong and petty. Everyone in Canada has a medical card. That needs to be paid for every month, except if the person is on disability, a veteran, a senior or living on welfare. Then they are exempt. Then there is medical coverage. Medical workers, doctors, nurses etc get that. They, and their immediate family. They still have to pay the monthly fee towards they cards though. Some at 100%, some at 80%. If you get certain dental and medical procedures done the 100% covers everything. If you get 80%, you pay 20%. That goes for picking up prescriptions too. You still have to pay a monthly fee towards that card every month though. Some employers do not pay medical or dental benefits and that is hard on a person. I know a woman whose employer did not offer medical benefits and she had to spend 300 every month for medication, along with paying $35.00 towards her medical card. You get dinged for having a baby in a hospital in Canada. You get dinged if you call an ambulance. You Will get free medication if your salary is under a certain amount annually . I could go on and on, but I won’t. @TESS, please think before you talk about free medical in Canada, cause a whole lot of people would loooooove that, millions of them.
HK might be an expensive place to buy a house in, but in no way should it be the most expensive in the world. Two words: public housing.
And if you factor in the cost of living, HK is definitely not in the top 10. Social welfare here is the one of the best in the world. It’s why we rank so high in the HDI rankings every year. Also, Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) has our index down pretty low. It’s very affordable to live here in HK.
Most expensive cities in the world with cost of housing and living factored in: Switzerland, Nordic countries with high wages like Sweden and Finland, Tokyo (holy crap Tokyo, yes), Sydney and Melbourne in Australia and probably England.
That report mentions Vancouver being the second most expensive city in the world coming after Hong Kong. Canada did not come in second, its a country.
Also, that report is very biased since it only measures housing costs and nothing else. As we all know, living standards includes other variables and not just housing costs.
I’d take a grain of salt with these surveys and carefully review how these reports are measured. Almost all of these reports has some kind of bias involved or missing information that will tweak the actual outcome.

Well My friend who is 22 and is not on welfare Got into a car accident two years ago and he has to go through a series of surgery. He never paid a penny for it. Same with my late grandfather, he had a heart surgery and it was free. I don’t know where you get the idea that you have to pay for these things. I didn’t even know JB said those things, maybe you are the one that listens to him a lot.
In Canada you never pay for required surgery. If you want to do something cosmetic or optional then you must pay the cost… but required surgery for health issues are free.
That’s not entirely true. You can go to a family doctor or walk in and receive free care. I had surgery to repair a broken bone and it cost me nothing. True, we pay through it through taxes… but I’ve never paid a “monthly fee” for my health card. It might be that each province is different, but in Ontario, basic health care is free. (not including optomotrist/dentist in this).
Buying medicine from a pharmacy After you see the doctor is not always free. Sometimes it is not covered by Health and you have to pay for it. But you can buy health insurance from an insurance company and it covers almost all of the cost. That option is usually good for new immigrants or someone like christine who does not have a working parent that has health insurance through work. That is what I meant by “health insurance”. I have a horrible nose allergy and it is not covered by my company’s medical health insurance so I have to pay an extra $40 a month to upgrade it and get the medicine for “free”. It works almost the same way as dental.
Do a very simple search “health Canada” then you will know you are wrong. I live in Canada, USA, Taiwan and Hk, I know what I am talking about. You surely don’t know what you are talking about. You have mistaken USA’s medical with Canada. Their medical is similar to what you are trying to say.
You make no sense with your arguments. A doctor makes about 300 000 Canadian dollars a year before tax. After tax they make half that. So according to your “facts”, even a doctor can’t afford to live in Canada. They can food to live in Canada for about 2 months, after that they need to camp outdoors and eat grass. And according to you, even doctors in Canada needs to work two or three jobs to afford the living standards. You are saying it costs about 6 million hong kong dollars to be able to afford to live in Canada. How many people makes 6 millions in Hk? Do you know how many visa students there are in Canada? All of them has families that can afford 6 millions hkd a year? So rich!! Your cost of living is so over exaggerated. Even more expensive than living in Tokyo or Moscow!
Apartment lofts is how much a month? 2-5k a month and that’s the high end. Even if it’s 5k a month that’s still only 10k a month to live, how else do you spend the rest of the $115 000?
Education is also free in Canada. 🙂 unless you go to post secondary or you are visa student then you have to pay. Even with post secondary education you can apply for osap, so at least majority of the tuition is paid. People in Canada usually don’t have to work two or three jobs to pay for their children’s education because it’s already paid in taxes.

Sorry, in the states medical coverage is non-existant. You must pay for everything, including doctor visits and all surgery. Nothing is covered by the government.
Many people, when ill, choose to stay at home rather than see a doctor because of the costs involved. If you work, and have a medical plan, you often must first contact your plan and then will tell you which doctors you are allowed to visit. If you visit a different doctor, they will not cover you. I have in-laws who live and work in the US.
Get in a car accident? In Canada, your hospital stay is covered, including any surgeries etc… in the US? You’ll pay for everything.

If education is so free, how come you forgot to mention private schools. Parents take out a second mortgage on their homes to send their children to private schools.
