Colleagues Tell Nancy Wu To Stop Receiving Red Envelopes
Yesterday, TV Queen Nancy Wu (胡定欣) was spotted shooting the new comedy drama House of Spirits <一屋老友記> on a rooftop with costar Bob Cheung (張彥博). The 34-year-old lead actress shared that she invited close friends Mandy Wong (黃智雯), Selena Li (李施嬅), and Oscar Leung (梁烈唯) over to her home on Chinese New Year for a home-cooked family meal. Asking why Paisley Hu (胡蓓蔚) and Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) were absent, Nancy said her two friends were not in Hong Kong for the New Year.
As per Chinese New Year custom, married couples are required to hand out red envelopes to single people, regardless of age. Nancy said she did not receive a red envelope from Myolie yet, but will definitely pursue the matter once Myolie returns to Hong Kong.
Nancy also shared that her boyfriend, music producer Terry Chan (陳明道), was also at her family’s New Year dinner. Asking if the dinner was an opportunity for Terry to meet her parents, Nancy said, “It’s just meal. This isn’t the first time they’ve met.”
Have her parents or elders been pressuring Nancy to get married? “Not at all. It was just a happy New Year meal, so there was no pressure. However, my married colleagues did tell me that it’s time for me to stop receiving red envelopes. I will… try my best!”
