Daniel Sit Weds Girlfriend in Small Ceremony

Eight years after his divorce from Fala Chen (陳法拉), Neway Entertainment heir Daniel Sit (薛世恒) has found love again in fellow Christian girlfriend, Cherie. After publicly acknowledging his relationship with Cherie last month and sharing that he has successfully proposed to her, the couple tied the knot in a small ceremony on October 22.

Due to the pandemic, the couple only invited 50 people to attend the wedding, including both their families and friends. Because of the suddenness of their wedding, some speculated whether the couple was expecting. Daniel denied the allegations and responded, “My wife and I both love children, but we will let nature take its course.”

In addition to following the traditional Chinese practice of serving tea to elders, the couple also honored their religious beliefs and said their vows under the witness of a priest and their parents.

Daniel also took the opportunity to address those in attendance and thank his parents, “They’ve told me many times that I am a grown man now and have really changed. When I was younger, I was really lazy. Looking back at it, I really angered my parents and also made them both worried. Even up until today, I am still a child who will make them angry and worried. However, I have found a life partner who will put them at ease. My wife is very attentive, and will definitely take good care of me.”

When talking about his wife, Daniel shared that the couple has been dating for a few years now. Because they are both devout Christians, they are extremely compatible and share many of the same values and outlook. Praising Cherie, Daniel said, “In my heart, Cherie is the perfect girl. She is very gentle and a good person. She is also compatible with my strange personality.”
