Daniel Wu Removes His Appendix After Two Appendicitis Attacks
Daniel Wu (吳彥祖) shared on Instagram that he has finally underwent surgery to remove his appendix after suffering two appendicitis attacks in the past two years.
“It happened again!” wrote Daniel on social media. “In March of 2019, I had an appendicitis that I thought was food poisoning, so I waited three days before going to the hospital. I was so septic they could not get the appendix out so I was put on a course [of] antibiotics with no food for 10 days. I lost 18 [pounds] and took several months to recover. I was told if it didn’t cause me any problems, I could just leave it.”
Over a year later, Daniel’s appendix flared up again, prompting the actor to immediately admit himself to the hospital and approve his appendectomy. “They were able to remove it once and for all. I am at home now convalescing. What are the chances of having two appendicitis’?! I think I should buy a lottery ticket today!”
