Denice Lam Rumored to Come Between Winnie Chin and Philip Ma’s Marriage

After 27 years of marriage, former Miss Hong Kong 1981 first runner-up Winnie Chin (錢慧儀) and Philip Ma (馬清揚) have called it quits. The divorce was not amicable as their harsh relationship was attributed to Philip’s infidelity. The businessman was rumored to be in a relationship with Miss Hong Kong 2022 winner, Denice Lam (林鈺洧).

Denice was seen on several occasions entering Philip’s residence and the two often attended social events together. Philip has denied the rumors. Emphasizing he was currently single, he met Denice at a charity event and only possessed a normal social relationship.

Responding to the rumors for the first time last month, Denice denied being in a relationship with Philip. On whether there was a chance to further develop romantically, Denice said, “I’m focusing on work right now. I’m whole-heartedly focused on filming for Come Home Love (愛回家). I cherish the opportunities the company is giving me and have not put any thought into anything else. These rumors have really impacted me emotionally.”

Winnie and Philip appeared at the Wan Chai Family Court today as part of their ongoing divorce proceedings. Winnie did not shy away from reporters and responded openly about the recent rumors. Emphasizing their divorce was not finalized, Winnie pointed out the ex-couple’s three children would feel extremely uncomfortable if Denice visited while they were at home. She hoped Philip would stop saying he was single and instead focus on his role as a father and not make his children feel embarrassed. Although Winnie hoped to part ways amicably and has acquiesced in court, Philip instead expressed Winnie has not agreed to any of the conditions he offered and was intentionally making things difficult.
