Despite Boyfriend-Stealer Label, Priscilla Wong Receives Support from TVB
Negative gossip over Priscilla Wong (黃翠如) and Edwin Siu’s (蕭正楠) love relationship have persisted although Edwin clarified that Priscilla was not the third wheel in his former romance with Gigi Ho (何傲芝). Allegedly, Edwin broke up with Gigi in October and started dating Priscilla in November while filming Madam Housewife <師奶MADAM>. While attending a promotion event for the 2014 FIFA World Cup yesterday, Priscilla maintained a high level of professionalism and responded to questions in a friendly manner.
Despite exhibiting a slightly lower energy level, Priscilla smiled the entire time to keep up with the media’s questions. Besides responding that she was feeling okay, Priscilla did not go into further detail about her budding romance. Asked about Edwin, Priscilla said, “I won’t respond on personal matters. We have kept in touch.”
Recent tabloids claimed that Priscilla is secretly planning to get married. In response, she said, “I’m a reader myself. I follow the stories everyday, and the current version is a lot more exaggerated than it is.”
Stating that she has not thought about marriage yet, she disclosed that she only wants a simple and happy lifestyle. She also describes herself as a person who does not look very far into the future and has no specific plans in terms of cohabiting or flash marriages.
As Priscilla is a hotly promoted actress at TVB now, she has the full support from TVB’s upper management. And as one of TVB executive Catherine Tsang’s (曾勵珍) favorites, Priscilla received much encouragement from her. Priscilla said she greatly appreciated those who have been supportive and nice to her through these challenging times.
In related news, many of Edwin’s good friends such as Raymond Cho (曹永廉) and Evergreen Mak (麥長青) stepped forward and said that they believe he did not cheat in love.

Dislike Priscilla immensely. People like her who make use of connections to land first lead roles are despicable to the core. Don’t see anything great about her…acting or lookwise. And hate her quivering whiny voice too.

Never liked Priscilla. Lol for some reason I thought she was in her early 40’s when I first saw her?
I find that Priscilla one of the most likeable people in the entertainment industry. I could see that she had a very good personality when she did the travelogues at i-cable, everything was so natural.
As for making using of connections, the women in charge of TVB wants to use her. Good for her if she is getting these roles. You don’t just go out rejecting them if they are offered to you.
People who hate Priscilla for using “connections” to land roles at TVB forget that she has been in the industry for over 10 years. She is much more experienced than a lot of TVB artistes, and her confidence comes across on screen. People never complained when Raymond Wong came to TVB and immediately landed lead roles – that’s because he had years of experience prior to TVB as well. TVB is not the be-all and end-all of HK entertainment.
A key difference is that Raymond was already a lead before joining TVB. He was playing leads in movies and ATV dramas so it’s not really an appropriate comparison. I have nothing against Priscilla Wong though, I don’t even recall her acting in any dramas so I don’t know about the so called “connections”.
I love Priscilla. Any good man would because she is indeed the quintessential of INNER BEAUTY. She relies on her true attitude and character to get to where she is today after being a host for a long time. Physically, she is not totally gorgeous but her INNER BEAUTY shines.
Oh no no. Priscilla is definitely a good girl. TVB execs are using her to fill empty spots, that’s all. Exactly like jack said, you don’t go rejecting roles offered to you. If Priscilla is using her connections to get these roles, I’m sure that means she’s an ambitious girl. She probably would be more careful with her wardrobe. Most of what she wears are so embarrasing, hehe. She just doesn’t really care about being tvb “idol” star like the current fadans. Look at the fadans in variety shows, dang, they are all so made up and dressed up by sponsors or what not. If Prisicilla is using her connections so well, she’d probably ask her connections to dress her too.

I still find it strange to see her acting in dramas because I still linked her with the programme she hosted like travelogue. At that time I already told myself this girl is so lucky to be able to travel to so many countries for job hosting and vacation at the same time. And now she’s like being promoted to be lead actress, maybe TVB is really lacking of talents.
