Dickson Yu Raises Concern With Tired Look on TV
TVB artiste Dickson Yu (余德丞) is what the general media would refer as a “siu sang”. Young, talented and good looking, Dickson is definitely a male idol that many look up to. Three years ago, the 31-year-old raised a scare when he passed out from sudden cardiac arrest in the middle of a soccer field. He also fell into a coma. Fortunately, Dickson survived it all.
In the year following his syncopal episode, Dickson stayed low profile and quiet to regain his health. It wasn’t until last year when Dickson returned ull swing, hosting a myriad of TVB programs and events.
But his recent appearance in a TVB sports program alarmed fans and netizens. Dickson was dressed sharply, but his hair looked undone, and his makeup looked unfinished. In fact, it didn’t look like Dickson had makeup on at all. He looked like he had just jumped straight out of bed right before the show. His eye bags were puffy and dark. Some even noticed that he didn’t shave.
Fans online voiced out their concerns for his health, with many netizens pointing out that he looked like “the fourth day of the Lunar New Year”, referring to a famous line uttered by Stephen Chow (周星馳) and Ng Man Tat (吳孟達) in the 1998 film The Lucky Guy <行運一條龍>, in which he said, “On the fourth day of the new year, your vacation is done, your money is gone, and you have to go back to work. No way you’ll look good.”
